Been going here for all my auto needs for a couple years now. Brought my car in for a specific reason this time, and nothing was found but my car was topped with oil which I didn't ask for and simply mentioned that I had oil and could have done it myself. Was called by the mechanic shortly after I left and instead of simply explaining why he did it, he proceeded to chew me out on why I'm wrong and how I should've known better. A minor inconvenience turned into me never returning my vehicle here again. If you can't do customer service perhaps don't pick up the phone.

I have been a loyal customer here for the past 4 years BUT no more. After my last service which also included a tire change and retorque, I discovered that my loyalty is worth nothing to them. When they removed my hubcaps to do the retoque, one hubcap was not secured properly and came off (less than 15 minutes total driving time afterwards). When I called I was passed to either the owner or someone who works there who could not bring themselves to offer an apology or take any shred of responsibility - instead they disputed everything I was saying and announced 'I don't know what you want us to do - its not our fault!' and put the phone down. The car is only 4 years old so the hub caps are still in excellent condition. It cost $68 to replace the missing hubcap (so over $110 total to have a simple tire change!). Still, mostly their loss as they get to lose all my future $$$$.

We've taken our cars here a few times over the last few years, and each time have been grateful for the honest service and fair and competitive pricing. Today's visit was no different - had a dashboard light go on in my van and took it in for a diagnostic. The wait was going to be a little long so I was going to take a cab home, but was generously offered a ride by the lovely lady at the front desk. A few hours later got a call that the van was ready and that no issue was found, just some old codes that had to be cleared. I came back ready to pay a diagnostic fee, but was pleasantly surprised to learn that I didn't owe anything! As a woman taking a car to some mechanics can often be fraught with worry that you'll be sold on parts or services you don't really need. Import Auto is definitely not one of those mechanics. They've earned my trust time and time again! Thanks for your honesty and integrity!

I was shopping around for auto parts and then called to purchase them when the woman on the phone said she had talked to my wife who ordered then canceled the order. This person was so rude, dismissive and condescending to me when I tried to reorder the parts. She basically told me to go find the part myself somewhere else. I couldn't believe I was treated like this. First they gouge on the price of parts and if you don't jump to their needs you are sent packing. Unbelievable!!!!! I hope you receive exactly what you give and get some therapy!

Horrible service. Was told my cars a piece of s*** after going for a fuel filter replacement and the car was misfiring after running fine before going here. Mechanic closed the shop door on us after being paid and told us off . NEVER BRING UR CAR HERE!

Hands down, fantastic experience at Import Auto! Beyond impressed with all the service. They went above and beyond. I was recommended by a friend and soo glad I went with it. I will be returning here for all future issues and repairs. Anyone that's reviewed and given under 5 stars for these guys, must of been having a bad day. I'd give them a Galaxy of stars if I could. Thank you soo much Import Auto..you guys rock!!

told them to turn the deadswitch off to the battery of my car so the left it on and drained the battery leaving my car stranded. needed help i couldnt find to fix it with a new battery. i was charged in self defence leaving me in jail not being able to get my car back from the people i needed to help me fix my car. i was bailed out by salvation army because my family wasent able to help me. i got out of jail before the carona virus and now i am stranded in a different part of canada currently and havent sat in a car for over 2 and a half years.Service: Battery

I had my alternator belt snap unexpectedly, CAA arrived shortly after that, and the CAA driver recommended Import Auto for my Subaru. The people at Import Auto are just fantastic! We were in Collingwood for my niece’s wedding. On the way there from London, we had lights come on and engine misfiring. We went to the Toyota dealership but they were too busy and recommended Import Auto.From the minute we walked in Gwen was doing what she could to help us out. In less than an hour they had a part ordered, delivered and installed.Couldn’t ask for better, more personalable service!Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone needing to service their vehicle to take it here!Thank you Gwen and the service gentleman that took care of our car! I cannot rave enough about this place! I was coming into Collingwood from out of town and had car troubles. With shops all around booking into week ahead, I was basically hung up on by everyone going down the list. This place however, asked if I could go straight there even though they were closing and had a part delivered and my car fixed early the next morning before they even opened for the day. Absolute angels!! And the sweetest dog to keep you company too, huge bonus!! I can't thank them enough. They saved our little staycation getaway!
