Today i went to sport chek in cambridge centre to enquire about hiring. Apart from the hiring enquiry i must say that the customer service is very bad and the employer told the hiring like i was begging some money infront of them. I am really disappointed in the customer service. I am never going there ever again.

"I must express my extreme disappointment with the service provided. This is the second time I've encountered such a disastrous experience, and it has truly been the worst I've ever faced. The level of incompetence and negligence displayed is beyond comprehension. It is utterly unacceptable and has deeply affected me. I strongly urge for immediate action to rectify these issues and prevent such occurrences in the future."The Name of the Cashier I remember is ALANA!!!The funny and weird part is, “I asked the cashier, Alana, if they treat all customers the same way after experiencing such poor service. When she didn't respond, I inquired about their customer service training, to which she claimed they receive training. I expressed my doubts, stating that their service did not reflect any training, given the repeated instances of dissatisfaction." She replied, It’s okay !!!

I had previously went to a different store to get my skates sharpened and they completely destroyed the blade. Went here to get them fixed and they did a great job and had awesome customer service. Thanks so much!

We went to buy some shoes and the size we want is not there so we placed an Order with them. when we went to checkout without even starting conversation the Cashier said we are NOT HIRING..You Guys should never Judge someone unless you hear from them. Didn't expect this behavior from an establishment. Felt really BAD????

I was recently in the store looking for toddler winter mitts. I was immediately approached by Pamela for assistance. We couldn’t find the size on the floor but she went into the back and searched through last years stock and found the size I needed. Such amazing help and positive vibes that make customers feel appreciated. Big thanks to her!!!

Bad return policy , ordered sandals/ slides online, as sizes weren't available in store, unfortunately fit wasn't perfect, went to return only to be told , shipping cost will not be refunded. Fine print , hadn't read that while placing order . Buyers beware, if not sure of sizes , understand that shipping charges won't be refunded at all . Best to stick with places you're familiar with. First time purchase from here and last . Disgusted.

I ordered a bike online for my sons birthday for PICK UP. That way I would have it for tomorrow morning; I showed up to pick up the bike, got told it was defective.I didn’t receive notice of cancellation or a refund.The “manager” of the sports shop was nothing but ignorant and not helpful.Told me to wait “I’m not sure how long” and I’ll get my money back, and he’s not in charge of anything to do with it and the cancellation is all done online as well.What do you have a manager for exactly?

I ordered a bike online to be picked up at the Cambridge store. Somehow the item number and sizing got mixed up in the online process and the store staff assembled the wrong sized bike. After realizing the error, the store manager worked with me to solve the issue. I ended up with a comparable bike to the one I ordered, and went home satisfied. Thanks Sportchek Cambridge staff.

This store is really good. I would recommend going here fi you need new sport gear, clothes, or shoes. I just went here to get some new shoes and I personally love them. Other people may have different opinion’s on this store which is understandable. Personally, I like it and would definitely come back again in the future.

I took my skis there for base repair and tune up as there were multiple scratches and gouges on both bases. I was assured by Service Manager that major tune up is not required since the minor tune up will be able to fill it up. When I picked the skis up the scratches and gouges were the same. However, I was then told things like; it is ok and will not affect my skiing, that major tune up would be worst, that wax would fall off, and to top it up at the end that I was never told scratches (gouges) would be filled. The Store General Manager continued on the same path of arrogance as his service manager yet he didn't even want to take a look at the bases of skis and prohibited one of the nearby associates to do so upon my request. He went as far as stating it was all filled without looking at it, which was really an insult since the scratches and gouges are so visible. I realize the technical knowledge and professionalism are not the strong side at that particular SportCheck and they have zero interest in acknowledging when service is not provided. So I had no choice but to pay for service not received and now I will have to pay to again to someone who knows what they are doing. I guess it is my fault to take my equipment to people who are not trained properly and not capable of doing the job. Lesson learned.
