I had a fantastic experience at Raffi's! Pierre and the entire staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, taking the time to understand exactly what I was looking for. They made the whole process easy and enjoyable, offering expert advice and even some coffees and snacks. I left with a couple beautiful pieces and will definitely be returning for any future jewlery purchases. Highly recommend this store for its outstanding customer service!

Definitely recommended for high-end automatic watch repairs!
How is it that a local, family-owned jewelery chain gives better advice and service regarding my automatic watch, than one of the largest watch companies in the world (you've definitely heard of them)? That's right, my relatively high-end automatic watch (>$5k in 2001) went to the official Canadian representative and service provider, in Markham, just north of Toronto, and from there they sent it to their North American headquarters in the USA (you've definitely heard of them too), for further analysis, and from there it got sent to their world headquarters, in Switzerland. They all said the same thing, it needed a new movement, which was no longer available, and the only solution was for a complete overall, which not only would cost 2000 Swiss Francs ($3000 CDN), but the work would NOT be guaranteed. This process took...OVER 6 MONTHS; and I could end up spending all that money for a watch that didn't work...crazy! Needless to say, that was definitely not going to happen (because it made no sense). Well, Raffi to the rescue! They proved all of the "Official" representatives and service providers wrong. They disagreed with them that my watch needed a new movement, or a complete overall. Brandon helped me through the whole process and was always available to answer any questions (which were numerous, sorry:) After about 1 month, Raffi fixed my watch (Automatic movement, with day, date, 2nd time zone, and power reserve) for about 20% of what the "Official" channels were recommending. That's right, 80% off! And, here's the kicker, they GUARANTEE their work...for one year! So, all I can say is that you can definitely deal with confidence with Raffi, because they will give you a truly independent and unbiased opinion of what your watch needs, AND, they put their money where their mouth is by guaranteeing their work (none of which was offered by the Official channels once the watch is out of warranty)! Thank you Raffi Jewelers for saving my prized possession:)

Thank you Allison and the owners of Raffi Jewellers…my Mom came to Canada in 1967, and all through the years she would talk excitedly about Raffi’s. Now, on her 79th birthday, my daughter and I walked into the store and bit the bullet. Times are harder than ever right now. I always thought my situation was too tough. My finances would get better later. But eventually, I realized that there is no time like the present. My daughter set eyes on something that an angel must have placed there for us! An 18k emerald four-leaf clover ring…my Mom has always loved four-leaf clovers!!!. And the price was so reasonable!!! Thank you Allison for your diligent assistance and to the owners for keeping jewelry great in Canada?. My Mom is so ecstatic and proud and happy. We did it!!!!

I went yesterday to Raffi Jewellery. Although I did not make an appointment, all staff was pleasant and welcoming. I was greeted by Pierre, Rolex advisor, who was very welcoming, friendly and professional. Pierre listened carefully and gave an honest and professional advice. I am Looking forward to the next step.

In March 2024, my fiancé and I went to Raffi’s to explore engagement ring options. We chose Raffi’s because my fiancé had shopped there before and had a good experience. I had a specific style and designer in mind but thought it would be out of our price range. We were thrilled to learn they could accommodate our budget. We worked with Angela, who took her time with us. She showed us plenty of options and explained that we could combine different design elements from separate rings to create our perfect ring. Initially, we wanted a white gold setting, but we were advised that platinum would be a better choice as it is more durable and, in the long run, more cost-effective since white gold bands require frequent upkeep.
We ended up choosing a Tacori 1.5 ct diamond with a platinum pavé setting, hidden halo, and the matching wedding band. Our ring was ready sooner than expected, and we picked it up on April 18, 2024. The rings were beautiful, and we were very happy—until about six weeks later when I accidentally damaged my engagement ring. Thankfully, the diamonds were intact, but the setting was pushed forward, bending and cracking the band.
Naturally, I was mortified, so we returned to Raffi’s to show them the ring. We spoke with Amy, who, to be honest, was a bit rude. Her manner suggested she doubted my account of the damage, making comments about the extent of the damage being inconsistent with a simple bump. Amy sent the ring to their repair team, who decided it should be returned to Tacori due to the extensive damage. A short while later, Amy informed us that Tacori deemed the ring too damaged and needed to be completely replaced. They agreed to offer a 50% discount, even though they would reuse our original diamonds.
We discussed our options with Amy, but she remained rude, implying that I was responsible for the damage and would have to pay for a new ring. I asked her to consult with her manager to see if Raffi’s could offer any assistance, considering we had purchased the ring and matching band just six weeks earlier. Amy promised to contact us within 24 hours, but we never heard from her again.
When we next contacted Raffi’s, we were connected with Brandon, who was polite and helpful. After several weeks of back-and-forth with Tacori, Raffi’s, and my insurance company, Brandon connected us with Tina, the Director. Brandon and Tina requested that my fiancé and I come in for an in-person meeting to discuss our options. When we arrived at Raffi’s a few days later, Tina and Brandon were warm, welcoming, and polite. Tina was very validating and sympathetic towards our situation. She requested our damaged ring back from the designer and, after consulting with their repair team, they agreed to attempt to fix it. Tina walked us through the process, explaining that while they would try to repair it, they couldn’t be held responsible for any further damage, which was understandable.
After a thorough discussion about our options, my fiancé and I agreed to let Raffi’s attempt the repair. About two weeks later, we received a call that our ring was completed. We visited Raffi’s, and Tina and Brandon presented us with our ring. It looked perfect; you would never guess it had been damaged. The repair team at Raffi’s did an outstanding job, and we couldn’t be happier.
The reason for the four-star review instead of five is due to our initial experience during the ring purchase. We were advised that platinum was more durable than white gold, which would have been less expensive. After this experience and further consultation with multiple jewelers, I learned that platinum is a relatively soft metal and only durable in the sense that it doesn’t scratch easily, whereas white gold is actually stronger. I’ll take this as a lesson learned and should have conducted more thorough research on metals before making our decision.
