The Newcastle ONroute (Newcastle Travel center) is one of the last rest areas before passing Toronto, there is a Wendy's, a Tim Hortons, a Starbucks and a convenience store, perfect for taking a short coffee/meal break, to rest, or to go to the restroom before getting back on the road! There's parking for cars and one for trucks and coaches.

Starbucks was great. Prices as expected. Wendy's charges $10 for 3 chicken strips. That's all I ordered and the price is ridiculous especially for the slow service. Fast food is no longer fast

I appreciate this rest stop and have used it many times before. However, the restroom facilities could use improvement.

All of these service plazas in Ontario are useless after 9pm. Fast food restaurants closed and Tim Hortons has nothing but coffee and if you are lucky a few timbits. I've see the disappointment on childrens faces when they can't get a burger or fries in the evenings. I feel sorry for the truckers.Bring back McDonald's like in the old days in Cambridge and London.

Always clean. Wish you had New York fries for us celiacs and gluten intolerant people though.
Tim Hortons, friendly service but the coffee was old or something. It was awful.
I really like the message chairs although I had to go through a few loonies and toonies to finally get it to take the payment and lost a dollar as a result.
Two accessible washrooms with addition accessible stalls inside the ladies washroom.
Very clean. The stall have handles that are a good height and reach and toilet tissue easy to reach
Friendly cleaner named Penny. Friendly store clerk Jessica.
I am thankful to have safe accessible places to stop for a rest. But at this one it is hard to find the accessible door button going in as it is on a pillar as the button, before the door. First time I was here and noticed it.

THE WORST WENDY's ON THE PLANET **DO NOT EAT HERE**. The service is aweful and really slow, the staff were not engaged, no interation during our 20 minute wait and almost avoiding us, then delivered us cold and TERRIBLE FOOD. Shortly afterwards both my wife and I were sick. Sunday Nov 12 5:45pm. Avoid this place at all costs!

The On Routes have a specific formula. This one was alright, could be a little cleaner but it is understandable with the sheer amount of traffic.
