“Their stuff is good, and unique in the area, however, it is a bit overpriced for what you get. I remember a day where M&Ms was the affordable meat shop in the area. Now everything is costly, and it's not worth buying here unless for special occasions.If you're looking of high end food, it's still a great place to buy if price isn't an object”

“Shop here frequently and generally satisfied with this store. This store's "culture" finally seems to be improving again after the loss of most of their very helpful and knowledgeable staff a few years ago. I would recommend that this location shrink the makeup & beauty section, and strongly consider adding fresh, organic produce. It also might be nice to have offerings from local, organic food producers so those who wish to support more local, also have that option at your stores.”

“Absolutely love shopping at this Food Basics! The prices are fantastic and they carry a surprising number of Indian products — Desi Ghee, Mustard Oil, Seseme Oil, Paneer, Parle-G biscuits, Frozen parathas, samosas, and much more. The fresh produce section is great too, often stocked with green chillies, brinjal eddoes (Arbi) and other Indian veggies. Packed Garlic and Plain Naans. Dosa powder, Rice Idli powder, Indian spices like Turmeric, Red Chilli powder, Corriander Powder and other spices.
Located right on Water Street with lots of parking, the store is clean, organized, and super easy to shop in. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great deals and awesome variety!”

“Lower prices are ALWAYS a good thing! No fancy decor, just groceries and necessities. Cashiers are friendly, and the Scene card helps to save even more $$$.

“the self-checkouts are extremely annoying, and corporate (like everywhere else that heavily invested in automated checkouts) isn't staffing enough cashiers for tills, so there can be a bit of a wait at certain times if you're avoiding using self-checkout. other than that it's nice.”
“This is our local Sobeys Store. They had a great sale on sirloin tip roast. I went on Friday night to purchase a roast and requested a butcher slice it up so I could make some beef jerky for my family. A nice employee had said, “ all butchers have went home for the night , come back tomorrow and we will make sure we can fulfill that request “.Sure enough , she was right. Not too often to grocery stores go above and beyond like this! Hats off to the friendly detailed butcher on making a very detailed cut of the roast!”

However, my favorite part of this store is the optical store. I have purchased my glasses from them over the past five or so years. They are great with their customers, the selection of frames is varied and stylish, and the prices are great. They also take insurance and CAA benefits. Isabel is amazing, patient, helpful and friendly. She deserves a raise.”

“A young man in dairy named Colin (we asked him his name) was beyond helpful. He dropped what he was doing to help us. Very polite and looked in the back for the product we wanted. He apologized that there was none but suggested a similar product which we bought. We frequent this store in Cambridge at least twice a week. Most employees are not like this young man. He needs to be recognized for his expert customer service!!!”

“This Farmboy in Cambridge has some of the nicest employees. I have been a customer here for many years and have made real genuine connections with Daniella at the meat counter and Catherine I often see in the produce section. They both offer excellent customer service and are very friendly and personable. They make it extra enjoyable to shop here.
The produce is always fresh with a section for Organic choices.
The soup, salad bar and hot bar offer a lot of selection for healthy eaters like me.
The self serve dining area is very convenient and stocked well with cutlery, condiments and napkins
It is well maintained and most people that eat here are clean and don’t leave their garbage behind.
I will be back again soon!”
