Went in with my younger friend for her prom(she’s almost 18) and I’m 20Looked in the front area for 2 minutes found a dress she liked but she also wanted to look at the dresses at the back, we walked up, waited, took our shoes off as asked, handed the dress off to the owner. She proceeded to ask us if this was prom shopping, as it was we said yes.She then proceeded to tell us that my friend wouldn’t be able to try any dresses on as she wasn’t with a parent, because she wanted to make sure that if there was damage to the dresses it would be paid for.She also commented that she assumed that my friend wouldn’t be paying for her own dress(gave a lot of attitude implying that we couldn’t afford the stuff there)When we told her my friend would be paying for her own dress, that didn’t change her mind, we still needed a parent. I then asked her if she meant an adult(?) as I am 20.She once again repeated that we needed a parent and that parents like to be involved anyway. But what if the parents don’t want to be involved? Or can’t?Does that just mean we wouldn’t be aloud to shop there?What about me, she blatantly judged us both for be young and without means or money to pay for anything, demanding a parental figure, as an adult wasn’t enough.Nevermind the fact that she is pushing paying customers away, I have seen several reviews where she judged people and pushed them away.I am astounded that this happened, more so that there was no policy written anywhere it was just her personal preference, and it was all or nothing. Not even an option to put a damage deposit down or a credit card.Overall even though I bought my prom dress here 3 years ago I also didn’t have a stellar experience. I would not recommend prom dress shopping here, provided you can even manage to try some on.She will judge and assume that you have no money.Don’t shop here, instead David’s bridal or Sophie’s gown shoppe give so much better service and equal quality prom dresses if not better, with a wider range of options and prices!

I was body shamed in the shop and it was followed by the worker talking badly about previous customers. Insanely expensive and not worth it.

The owner follows you around the entire store, doesn't give you space to look and constantly keeps coming back to u with dresses to try even when you say you are just browsing. Feels like more heckling you then helping. Let us look and feel comfortable looking we know what we like for style if we are browsing and need or want assistance let us come to you, or atleast don't continually step init feels like yr more interested in making a sale then making your customers feel comfortable

Val was down-to-earth, helpful and accommodating, allowing us the time to try dresses on and see what works, and coming up with ideas. It's nice to go into a place where there is variety (dresses through to gowns and formal upscale wear) and you feel welcomed. Had a great experience and recommend this boutique to anyone looking for great dresses, various price points and flattering options.

Best shopping experience of my life! Val is the friendliest and most informative sales person I have ever dealt with. She is very knowledgeable about the sizing for different styles of dresses and she also has a great eye to know what styles will look great on you!Definitely a 5* experience.This store is perfect for people who like to be informed about their best options and not have to waste hours looking for the perfect dress!

Came here yesterday to check out some of the dressed for an upcoming wedding. I wanted to go look in the back waited like the sign said and took my shoes off. Only for the women behind the counter to come running out to let me know how expensive the dresses were. She was white so definitely felt some profiling there ( I was shopping with a group of none white women) so needless to say I left and I won't recommend this store to any people of colour or marginalized communities. Unless they want to be profiled of course...

I just had the most wonderful experience with the store owner Val. She really is amazing at going above and beyond with helping you find just exactly what you're looking for even when I couldn't find what I thought I wanted she found me the perfect little quaint dress absolutely cute and adorable!!! As I Tried on the 2nd dress the button popped off. I am not a good sewer, Val took over stepped right in and put that button right back on for me bless her soul. I would recommend the store to anyone looking for a grad dress or a fancy little Destination dress!!Go in ck her out you wont be disappointed ???? Im also in my 50's something for everyone ????

Thank you Colour Dress Boutique for making prom dress shopping easy, Not only was my daughter able to get a prom dress I also got a nice dress for work. The customer service was exceptional, I look forward to coming back when in need of a dress again.
