A lovely little bridal shop in Caledonia. Mary was just wonderful throughout the whole experience. She was kind enough to hold the dress for me for a couple of days while I kept searching. No other Bridal store would do that for me, especially when the dresses are on sale/final sale. In the end, I wound up back at Mary's and after I tried it on, I new it was the one. She did mention she is closing up, retiring but was willing to have me come back for my alterations. Such a sweet lady, with a sweet shop. if you're looking for an amazing dress at an amazing price, call her up. It's by appointment only.

I booked an appointment in hopes to finding my bridesmaid dresses as we weren’t having any luck. We were seen on a Sunday by appointment. The first comment made by the store owner was she wouldn’t of booked an appointment for us if she knew not all bridesmaid were going to attend, she felt we were wasting her time. I was missing two bridesmaids as they were unable to go. We tried on some dresses and found a couple we really liked. I let my other bridesmaid know, when I tried to book another appointment for them, she refused to book as she doesnt have the time to see them separately even though we had picked out a dress. I’ve never been so angry with a store. How do you advertise walk ins welcome if you won’t see a bridal party willing to book. I was looking to purchase 7 dresses in total for bridesmaid and junior bridesmaid. I will be more then happy to spend the money somewhere else! Good luck to any brides wanting to book or order from her. If you want someone who’s willing to accommodate you this is NOT the place to go!

Mary provided a positive and personalized experience for me from the get go. She helped me find a dress to suit my taste and went above and beyond to make sure the specialized alterations I wanted came to life. Her attention to detail, excellent customer service, and years of experience in bridal gowns made me feel at ease. Forget the large generic stores where you are just a number. Go with Mary, you won't regret it!

Mary was so great! I was purchasing a dress in Ontario so I could shop with my mom and sister, and bring it home to Calgary for my wedding - this led to some weird time lines, like a fitting over Christmas holidays. Mary was so accommodating!!
When we walked into the store she quickly listened to what I wanted and brought out many dresses. When I found one I liked, I mentioned what pieces I would want to have different. Mary was quick to share what could be altered- some jewels, the neckline, the accessories on the dress. She was able to take a beautiful dress and turn it into my dream dress. She did the alterations so well and so cost effective!!
Mary made shopping for a dress such an easy and fun experience. I sincerely appreciate all of her help!

I want to thank Mary for her expertise in altering my gown and my daughters wedding gown. She did a beautiful job and was a great help in selecting a gorgeous organza flower headpiece that she embellished with crystals to match the belt she helped us choose to enhance the gown. Mary was very accommodating with our appointments as my daughter was commuting from Toronto. I read the above complaint about the bridesmaid dresses that were not altered because they were not paid in full and must comment since this was not a fair complaint. People need to realize that NO bridal store will alter a gown until it is fully paid and it is up to the bride or her party to make the payment because they are the ones that have a wedding deadline . As a business person, I know first hand how customers can place orders, then change their minds, so why would Mary do alterations when a gown was not fully paid. Who would buy the gown if the bridesmaid pulled out of the wedding or changed her mind about the gown? That gown can not be sold as a new gown to someone else when it has been altered. We are all busy with jobs and families but that is not Mary's problem, to have to chase you for payment! Don't forget , that Mary is also very busy during the wedding season and though every bride thinks hers
is the most important wedding, Mary is trying to make all her brides happy! Thank you Mary, you helped this mom sleep better at night with your professionalism and guidance and the bride got so many compliments on the finished product. I have already recommended you to a couple of girls at the wedding.

I thought all my prayers were answered when I walked into the proper topper. Me and my sister went in and were looking for bridesmaids dresses, as i didn't find the perfect dress for the girls yet. With luck from the bridesmaids gods, we found the perfect dress for my girls, and order them. Mary at the proper topper was extremely nice, and helped all my girls get the proper size and was quite sufficient. Weeks go by and we finely got the call that the dresses are in. YAY! All the girls go in to try on there dresses, everyone is happy. Some of my bridesmaids work full time, and are full time moms. So getting to the proper topper right away wasn't an option. Mary called my bridesmaid day in and day out for money, all the bridesmaids had put down a deposit. My one friend even offered her a post dated check, as she wasn't getting paid till that Thursday. Mary refused and ordered her to come back and pay with cash. My friend eventually went back and paid her in full. My friend came to my house after very disappointment and upset, due to Mary being quite rude to her. Mary had promised my friend free alterations as her dress didn't come back with the proper measurements in the length. Mary informed her that she will no longer do her alterations, as she is super late on paying for her dress. My friends dress was cut due to it being to long, and was pinned up. This friend of mine is a full time mom, and has 2 young boys. She's lucky if she has a minute to her self sometimes. I felt that Mary was very rude, all i wanted was this experience for all my girls to be a good memorable one. But of course it doesn't stop there, my other bridesmaid work full time and is a construction worker and is traveling around Ontario. She had already paid for some of her dress, but had a remainder of $45 to still pay. Mary called everyday asking for the $45 dollars, my friend was eventually going to go there. But felt she didn't want to due to her being such a pest. My friend was very upset, and asked if i would go and pay the $45 dollars and she would reimburse me later. All in all i had 2 very upset friends, and a dress that was cut and wasn't even touched what so ever. I finally decided that I would gather all of my dresses and take them some where else, since the experience i had was dreadful. Mary even had the nerve to show me her book full of unpaid dress, which i feel was none of my business. If you hurting for 45$ dollars, then something is wrong. Either way i wouldn't recommend anyone to the proper topper.
