Just when you thought Cust Service was gone, not here!!! Purch product at another loc, sizing was wrong, my receipt was not given to me, went to Burl they located history and exch'd and refunded with no issues. Thank you

The staff is so rude. I dont know her name but she is an older lady with blonde hair who has a different accent. She was so unwilling to give me my size when i asked for it to try on a sweatpant. Then when i asked for another size for another sweatpant, she was also unwilling to give it to me. Also waited at my door without moving which made me feel so pressured to kind of make my mind although i was PAYING WITH MY OWN MONEY. So rude and i really hate it. Reading through other comments, i realized that im not alone.

Oh my god I thought we are the only ones but reading the other customers opinions I am reassured that employees are outright rude & bullies , they like to profile customers ( well I have no words for who they are) Roots should fire the customers (not employees ) for visiting this store as it is the worst retail experience an customer should expect . What a waste. Thanks Roots owner for all the action taken so far as it’s clear it won’t work.

The manager @ Mapleview is absolutely a horrible manager and person. She is very unprofessional, condescending and rude. Her name is Erin. I avoid going into the store if she is there.

What a shame. It's November 2023: The store is beautiful inside but some of the employees are unprofessional. Two employees were chatting with one another, saying "why do people (customers) come here, like, what do they do for work?" and "yeah, it's so busy, I wonder where they get their money from? haha" - wow, right in front of customers?To answer your questions, girls: people who shop here on a Wednesday mid afternoon during black friday week indeed have jobs and/or are retired/off school, based on their age. Others may just be shopping on their day off, on break, and/or with their families. But either way, these customers are here FOR YOU. Without them, you wouldn't get your paycheque, whether online or in store. So when you casually discuss, in front of customers, why you think it's dumb that customers come here because of the amount of them in your store during the busiest week in retail, you're being unprofessional and making us feel uncomfortable being around you. Unless that was your goal.If you smile and put on your fake retail voice, we can usually tell as well. I sensed a negative atmosphere where they'd make comments like this and then go be "fake friendly" to customers nearby. You have to remember - just because you work retail does not mean you have to treat customers like we're all dumb cattle.Secondly, two of your employees thought it was alright to casually speak about their romantic life in front of customers too. Nobody wants to hear that! At least keep the discussion about something else.You never know who might be listening nearby. What if someone from operations or head office overheard you?If any of them worked for my company, I would be retraining them or putting them in the backroom to do e-commerce instead.There are many reasons to be proud of where you work. You work at Roots! You can learn to be friendly and authentic instead of faking your entire attitude and coming off as though you don't want to work here, and at least make it believable that you do not hate customers. If you don't like customers, don't work in retail or any business that deals with direct sales.Until then, I'm not convinced some of these girls that you have on the Mapleview Roots team right now should be dealing with the public, as their misery and self importance is too obvious.Merry Christmas

?A RUDE CASHIER at ROOTS Mapleview Mall literally threw… onto the store counter with an ?angry disposition…a free bag that I was eligible for on Black Friday…since I spent more than $100. ?Yes, a RUDE ROOTS cashier threw the bag on counter at me… with a mad ?look on her face! ?She had a horrible attitude which gave me a HORRIBLE shopping experience. What happened to polite customer service at ROOTS!!!???? I will NEVER Shop at Roots/ MapleView Mall again.? I’ll gladly cross the border again to spend my money in the USA …I will go to BUFFALO NY where customers get treated with respect. Sadly, there is NO respect at ROOTS MAPLEVIEW mall.

The associates here were super helpful when I was looking for a coat. I found a coat I liked but I wanted it in black. They looked in their stockroom and brought out a similar one in black that I liked, only it wasn’t as warm. Then they brought out a black parka from the back that I really liked and ended up buying. The staff here was super nice and helpful.
