Great local sports shop that has been around forever, with staff whom are always available, friendly and knowledgable; three things not often found these days and of course not at all in online shopping. The owner is very often on site, approachable and willing to go above and beyond to ensure ultimate customer satisfaction.

Amazing fast delivery for online order of skates. I placed the order and got an email 30 minutes later saying it was delivered and arrived next day. The Bauer skates I ordered are great!

Went for a sharpening,while there asked about repair on eyelet that was broken.Told me next day which was fine but when I got my skates back they replaced it at no charge.Thanks and great service. (And it wasn't because it was no charge repair)

Great local store with great service. I've been going to Al's as long as I can remember and can't think of one negative thing to say. The staff and owner go above and beyond to make sure all our hockey needs are met and if they don't have it, they would be happy to point you in the right direction. This is by far the best place in Burlington to get your skates sharpened. Keep up the great work ????

Was in Al’s tonight and the owner was very rude. His staff is always great. Staff took us to the back for my kids to try on the Bull dog team clothing. He came in and talked to us like we are gum from the bottom of his shoe. Then announced he had to do skate sharpening. 5 minutes comes back and does the same thing again. You would think with the pandemic and loss of business he would have better Chrome service or even human being skills.

Brought in my skates for a profile and sharpening. Greg was extremely helpful a d explained that at Al's they do a quad profile and I've never done one before so we went with quad zero. Had a rough time and couldn't get used to it and had to bring the skates back.This is where I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Greg listened to what issues I had and took the time to speak with me in detail about where the blade wasnt "touching"Greg then did a quad 1 profile and even recommended a different hollow than I usually get and holy wow are they great now. Skates feel amazing and the quad 1 profile was amazing. I didnt have to repay to get the fixed either. Definitely coming back here again.Thanks so much Greg. You were right the 1/2 inch hollow with the quad 1 felt amazing.

I have been going there since a kid and was coached in my teens by the owner. I will always go there before a big box store to support them and there staff.
