Met Mike, the owner, today and have to say super nice guy. Being from out of town and used to big box stores I have to say this Home Hardware is represented fantastically by the owner and his staff. We usually stop in here multiple times during our cottage season over the last 20 summers, but today Mike went above and beyond assisting us with our purchase. Mike is friendly, outgoing and really down to earth, and most of all made us kind of feel like "community" family. You get more that just a hardware store shopping here, so don't hesitate to stop by for even the smallest purchase.

This Home Hardware is a fairly small store befitting of a smaller tourist town. The aisles are tight with very little space for two way foot traffic. The store itself has quite a good assortment overall and the staff are helpful. Like most Home Hardware stores, you can't get far without a staff member offering to help. This location also has a building beside it known as "The Lodge" which is also owned by the Home Hardware. The Lodge is a tourist trap, in a good way and is filled with many items such as outdoor wear, camping gear, souvenirs, fishing supplies and various other items for the great outdoors. One issue with the Lodge is that it is two stories tall, so people with mobility issues (like me) have to climb a flight of stairs to get to the items on the second floor. It's worth noting that this location has a huge selection of outdoor chairs which is handy for cottage country. I only ran into one issue at this location; I went to buy a 4kg bag of peanuts to feed our chipmunks. I usually pay $19.99 for a 4kg bag in Lindsay, but at this location, a 4kg bag was a whopping $45.99! I got two 2kg bags of peanuts at the local Foodmart for $29.98 total. Yikes!
