DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!
I had a very upsetting experience today while shopping for Instacart at the Giant Tiger Brantford I needed help picking out women's innerwear, as I'm a man and unfamiliar with these item's. When I politely asked a staff member for assistance, she immediately refused to help me in a very dismissive manner and said they are in the corner I went to the corner where all the stuffs are kept , there was another employee who appeared to be willing to assist was told not to, simply because I am an Instacart shopper and am "getting paid for it.". Yes I am getting paid for the reason I am doing the shopping for a customer. So do the person who was standing there ,is she supposed to help customers instead of saying no? .The batch I was on, was supposed to be done in 16 mnts where it took 49 minutes and my Tip was reduced .
I felt embarrassed, uncomfortable and unfairly treated, and it seemed to be based on bias, as I could clearly sense discriminatory behaviour from the employee involved. It's disheartening to face this kind of treatment, especially when we are just trying to do our job and serve customers.
To add to this, this is not the first time am shopping from Giant Tiger, I asked for help just because I am not aware of the items am looking for. . Just because of such people , even the good employees are affected.
I hope Giant Tiger takes this complaint seriously and works to ensure that all customers and workers are treated with respect, regardless of their role. I would appreciate it if this matter were addressed.

I love the look and merchandise but can't stand the lineups for check out. So much paranoia there from management and staff about shrinkage due to customer thefts. Even without a purchase, it is hard to leave without employee assistance issuing approved exiting instructions.

Good stuff is sold in the store for less price than other stores. The store has lots of fresh produce available. Plenty of parking spots is available. The store also sells indoor plants . The store is neat and clean ,and good for quick visits.

People are standing in line waiting far too long. Seniors don't use self check out. Today an elderly lady fell to the floor (collapsed) while waiting. It's hot out and seniors should not be forced to stand in lineups waiting. Get your priorities straight! I go into the store often - the lineups have been a problem for a long time. You need to stop pushing the self check out and open more tills. There should also always be a manager in the store...

We just were shopping and we were so fortunate to have Josh as our cashier. All I can say is what a sweetheart such great service !! I enjoy your store and most of the employees are good but this gentleman was beyond courteous very pleasant and helpful I can honestly say I haven't seen that kind of customer service in many many years. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves from Management, he really made my day ❤️

Worst management at this location!! An employee told to signup online to get member discount so we did that and then she told oh we cant apply it today its not updated yet! Come back tomorrow and next time when we were in store they said we don’t offer anything like this its not showing any discount to add and manager on duty was so rude and said nothing we can do! Noone knows what they are doing and I won’t shop again here!
