My experience at the shelter was amazing, although my situation was different, I was attending school, therefore I couldn’t apply for OW.
They treated clients with respect which is important due to the fact that everyone is going through something.
Every staff member was supportive.

The other people at this shelter made it kinda suckage. The overall structure and amenities are sorta breaking apart from the inside here..but it is nice n cozy after you get over the weird rude peeeps that like to chitchat thru out the night...which is dismal when yer in the overflow room and got people chowing down on food at 2 in the morn talking with others. the laundry was suckage...better off walking down the street and paying a few dollars.. the lockers well as previously mentioned this shelter aint trustworthy. always keep stuff that matters to you on your person dont leave yer stuff unattended.. in fact id sit by the washing machine while you wait for your clothes to wash n dry. the food was frigggin tastey. it was delicious. no complaints there. mmm mmm. the staff were kind and considerate. some of em were following that old adage 'act first ask questions later' they were punks. but most of em were prettty gooood. not sure how this place is going to operate when they bash it all down to make room for a 200(+) bed capacity shelter. prolly going to be run like a jail. I think municipalities could do a better job of funding these places...unless pooooop smeared sidewalks and tents are your thang?

Staff are very rude there not here to support you in anyway, full of bullshit an just wonna boss you around, they lack proper management skills & seem like they very much dnt care.dorms smell like death very stinky, very uncivilized rowdy hostile environment to be in,don’t expect a good night sleep with all the noise & random events in the night.a lot of thefts so protect your belongings at all time.one guy said to me “this place is worse than jail!”.very much traumatized after leaving this place

I stayed at this shelter my phone and another item was stolen from me so it was a terrible experience for me the first time I stayed here 12 years ago but since going here again a few weeks prior, it was a better experience and nothing was stolen from me. Still better then being on the street and having a place to stay. Since covid happened, there's been dividers and less chance of your phone getting stolen

This place is an absolute Joke I had to spend a night in the hospital because of a accident on my e bike upon coming back to the shelter I was immediately discharged even tho I had a doctor's note and to make matters even worse I was told the staff were going to help me find another place to go but not a single one of the racist and disrespectful staff members bothered to do anything besides tell me if I didn't leave the cops would be called right away i can't even believe people like that are in Positions to allegedly help People because the only ones these people help Are thoseWho are Favored by the staff

Very rude staff. Here I am trying to find space for someone and the lady over the phone is questioning me like a criminal. What a fool.

Negative stars, the only shelter to worsen my housing situation. Was told that I could transfer to Wilkinson shelter because they had beds. They had none, I was put in overflow. Was then told I was being transferred from Wilkinson shelter to another shelter because they had beds there. They had none, and Wilkinson couldn't take me back because my bed had been given away and they were full. Had they just been honest and clear from the start, I would still have shelter while I waited for space to free up. Instead, I went from shelter -> overflow -> streets in a day.Seemed odd that when I spoke to Wilkinson the first time they had a bed, but when my case worker spoke to them after they had none, and then had a bed when I spoke to Wilkinson again after my case worker. That should have been a sign about how disorganized and/or irresponsible the staff are.Always have your shelter staff/case worker speak to Wilkinson so no more "mistakes" occur.
