I am trying to support the black businesses but sometimes some of them make it hard to do. August 17, 2024, I bought some corn beef. The guy in the back weight it and price it at $15.41. I was confused because I know the small piece of corn beef I picked up couldn't weight 1.5lb. I asked him how much per lb for the corn beef and he said $9.99 per/lbs. He took the corn beef and re-weighed it and again price it at $ 14. 41. I still had doubts. I took it home ,weight it and it weight 1.082 lb. I did the calculation and it cames to $ 10.809 . Never will I go back to this store and shop , Disgusting .

As a black woman trying to support black business, it rather difficult. Poor customer service. The cashier took my payment and then just walked away and continued tasking. No greeting. No salutation. I'd rather walk to support another. Than cross the street and support Gems.

My first visit was rewarding very happy to see the Amazing selection of hard to find and quality products that are available. Would love to see some smaller shopping baskets available for those quick trips. Five stars for the great service from the courteous staff.
