Hello review world! My husband and I just purchased a second-hand vehicle from Gateway Chevrolet and this was hands-down the best customer service buying a car that we have ever received. We felt as though we were treated like family. Tarek, our salesman, did not pressure us, and spoke very peacefully and patiently. Michael, the manager, allowed my little son to sit in a car while I got the paperwork done, another rep offered my son cookies, we had coffee and water, etc. Ariana at the front desk was always smiling and kind with us. We even noticed a bit of rust on the side of the car, and though most dealerships wouldn't do this, the body shop included that repair. We can't say enough good things. We'll be recommending this place and I'm certain they've gained us as customers for life. Thanks, guys! What a pleasant experience ? Cheers

I visited Saturday Oct 5, 2024. The shitty temper tantrum attitude of your salesmen is poor and is obvious why the dealership is not running.
Not understanding clients and not creating a conducive environment for clients is a waste and will reflect on them reading this and not coming back.
Pushing clients who have credit to decide that day by way of disrespectful body language, putting them on the spot were my observations.
Solution: Humility, respect and less frustrated attitude will help.
YOU ARE OVERDUE TO CHANGE ALL OLD STAFF. YOUR STAFF IS THE ISSUE, NOT your cars.

Buyer beware. My 2011 GMC Acadia ac had a coolant leak. After paying them $200 for a “diagnosis” I got a quote for $2700 to fix the issue. They told me leak was in multiple places. Instead I went to a recommended mechanic who fixed the leak for only a few hundred dollars and the leak was only in one of the compressor lines.

Says its open on google but nobody answered at reception or at the parts dept. Would it kill these multi-million dollar dealerships to staff enough people to answer the phone especially at their parts department?? How am I supposed to get what I need to fix my car if nobody is willing to work weekends??

I had an extremely disappointing experience with gateway Chevrolet. I brought my car in for a routine service, and what should have been a quick job turned into a frustrating ordeal. First, the staff was unorganized and unprofessional, offering little to no communication about the delays. My car was promised to be ready within a few hours, but I ended up waiting the entire day without any updates.
When I finally got my car back, not only was the original issue still unresolved, but I also noticed BIG scratches on the paint. When I pointed this out, they denied responsibility and refused to offer any compensation or solution.
Overall, the customer service was poor, the quality of work was subpar, and the lack of accountability left me extremely dissatisfied.

this was the worst service i have ever experienced from this dealership. the service advisor wasn't very professional at all. i sent a friend to pick my truck up after the work was finished becuse i was away. she went in and paid got my key and the guy was very unhelpful when she asked where the truck was parked. she asked gim numerous times if he could show her where the truck was parked. all he kept doing was pointing and saying its over there. my truck alarm keeps going off and my trucks charging system isn't working right from being picked up. not happy at all with this dealership.

The good and bad
The sales rep Sam Latif provided all the necessary information to make an informed decision
The bad
The vehicle readiness was not to expectations, the rear cargo door when opening was binding hard on the roof line overhead. I had to return the next day to the body shop for re-adjustment and touch-up paint. Watch out for extra charges not described on the bill of sale $699.99 I assume administration charges.
I was scheduled to pickup my vehicle early on a Friday, I drove in and saw a vehicle like mine ( model colour and trim) by the charging area and I stopped to check it out thinking it was my vehicle. A short white person with a pony tail dirty looking comes out of the service department side door and started shouting like a vicious animal swearing at me very loud and aggressively, I asked him to calm down and be polite and tried to explain I was there to pickup my vehicle, he shouted back there's no vehicles for delivery till next Wednesday. He turned around and slammed the door on me as he was walking back inside.
As a result I will have to reconsider about getting my Blazer EV serviced there.
Update:
The EV charger is overheating, the Amber and Blue light on the charger stays on at the same time while the vehicle is plugged in to charge. Service mgr Jeff doesn't know when a new replacement charger will be available. I had to call GM customer care in Oshawa for assistance as no one from the dealer was repying to emails and calls. Definitely will be switching to Frost Chevrolet for service and it's closer to home

I booked an appointment with a sales rep Sam for 5:20 and he even called to confirm and said he’d see me then.
I showed up and the front desk told me he left for the day. The manager Myles told me it was because I was only checking out the car to plan for the future for when I move. I wanted to confirm if this was the car I wanted to buy.
In my opinion as someone who’s worked in sales for 10 years and a business owner for 4 years, this is an underhanded move and Sam should have at least let me know not to waste my drive there instead of no showing me. He could have kept me as a future lead and made a sale down the road. It shows his integrity, and he is not fit for a sales role.
I am only giving 2 stars because the manager Myles is a standup guy and he helped me out with all my questions, but I question the fact that he hired a sales rep that would do something like this.
I will either be taking my business somewhere else or deal exclusively with Myles moving forward.
