I ordered a prohibition box as a special gift for a hard-to-buy-for relative. I ordered it 9 days before I was picking it up, and based on the picture on their website it looked like a lovely presentation in a very nice box.Imagine my disappointment when I went in to pick it up on the morning of December 24th and it was in a box that looked like a pizza box and it wouldn’t even close properly. There were no identifying marks on the box saying it was from J’adore and a ribbon was sloppily wrapped around the box. They slapped on a sticker that was smudged and put a nicer ribbon on the box and that was the extent of their fixing the problem. They had apparently “run out of boxes”. I went to the store personally to place the order on December 15th and was certainly not informed that there were no proper boxes at that time. This was a $90 purchase and at this stage I had no choice but to take it as it is too late to purchase elsewhere.Extremely angry and would not recommend this business to anyone.

The only local place I have found that carries Ski Queen Gjetost! I no longer have to drive to Collingwood. Will definitely be back.

I purchased from the Too Good To Go site. Cheese was expired. At the time i purchased, the TGTG site stated that food purchased from their site may be "close to" the expiration date. No mention of selling expired food. IMy bag had a French soft-ripened cheese that had expired about 4 days before my pick up date.i voiced my concern about this, quoting the website, and the salesperson said it would be fine, no problem. In fact, she said it should be good days longer. Soft-ripened cheeses can be nasty past the date; too ripe. But I took her word for it and went home. When I unwrapped it, the colour was obviously off and the aroma was terrible. Over ripe ammonia smell. I should have returned it, but the travel time and parking fee wouldn't be worth it. The other item in the bag was some Halloween skeleton bones of white chocolate covered pretzels. They were cute and tasted ok. Jadore, please do not respond that some cheese lovers enjoy a ripe cheese. This was WAY too ripe. I gave 2 stars because of the candy. Otherwise no stars, based on the cheese. Why not just play your business safe and don't sell expired food?

Wow! what an interesting and mouthwatering cheese selection from Canada and the world over. Stopped by on our way back from Huntsville to Toronto. Luckily I had my cold bag with me, so bought 6 to 7 cheeses to try. Great service.

I bought the Brie with truffles and the Gouda with truffles. They were both delicious! I was in heaven. I don’t live near Barrie so I’m going to have to find an excuse to go up there and go back to this cheese shop!

Love this local cheese and wine shop! More than just a shop actually, as they host private events and have additional services like their monthly cheese boxes! Bought a really nice bottle of white wine from here, and look forward to my next visit.

1. Overall a descent place for cheese and chocolates in Barrie area. Good selection. But They sold expired (frozen) products on Too good to Go app recently. When called they said it was ‘frozen’ so it was safe to consume. Had to throw it out as it was not worth the risk.2. If you buy in-store, you might not have anything to regret.3. Prices fall on the higher side of the cost spectrum for cheese.

Gift basket looks nice, wish I could have had options to pick and choose to build on the spot or more variety. Also wish your website had mentioned 48hrs required for gift baskets. Pretty disappointed coming from a far distance to purchase from your store in person.
