“Last Saturday, I was driving to Oshawa to meet a friend. I thought that I'd celebrate her birthday early by giving her gift to her during our dinner meetup. My dilemma? I didn't have a proper, festive gift bag to put all her gift goodies in. I was using my Cirque du Soleil one. I mean, everything did fit in it. However, it's kind of misleading giving a branded bag and not a single thing is from Cirque du Soleil's gift shop. While driving along Taunton Road, I saw this Dollarama. Perfect! I swooped over to the right lane like an aggressive hawk eyeing prey, turned, and drove over to the store.I parked off to the side of the main entrance. It was surprisingly busy for a dollar store in Whitby. It was a sign that it was a decent store.I walked in. I saw the gardening section. It reminded me that I needed to repot one of my plants. Another day!I found mini balloons and knew that the gift bags would be close by. They were. I was elated.The Grogu gift bag had my heart. If someone wants to gift me it, I'd be delighted. =)I found a gift bag with an elephant and balloons. I felt like I was shopping for me. How selfish! My friend and I have similar tastes, so I knew that she would love it. It was also large enough to fit all her gifts in it.Although time was a bit tight, I still managed to do a quick-and-dirty tour of this store. I have never seen so many different varieties of sidewalk chalk in my life! The selection is extensive.I spent most of my time in the beverages, candy, and food aisles. Surprise! NOT. I found Pur gum, which is sugar-free. There was also Pure Leaf iced teas that I love so much.I lined up to pay. There must have been six people in front of me, but the lineup moved quickly. I had a nice man cash me out. I paid using a debit card. My card's tap feature had died, so I inserted it and entered my PIN. So old school. So successful!I thanked the man and left with my festive birthday gift bag. I had never swapped out gift bags in my car. I did just that in the parking lot. Success!My friend loved her gifts. I thank this store for being en route for me to swap out the gift bag. I'd love to return and shop here like a casual human being.(207)”

“Amazing imported snacks and wide variety on daily house-hold items. Today I went in and they had freshly made curry from that morning and it was sooo good!! I even buy little displays and seasonal decorations for my work in the same strip!”

I once dropped $60 on impulse items!The products are worth what you pay in here, so know that things won't last long as far that quality, and in some cases like dish towels you are getting your money's worth. Bleach, cheap shampoo etc. If you don't care what you put on your hair you'll love the prices. Customer service can be low at times in this location and others.Pop is cheap everywhere, but the drinks here are exceptionally low priced and the same quality as Loblaws.Halloween and cheap Christmas decorations are a top seller here. Even stocking stuffers can be creative here.Dollarama is cheap. That's the draw. But they're highly profitable, so don't be fooled. They're a publically traded company with a 28 billion dollar market cap! So I shop the way I shop everywhere now, with a purpose and a list. Try the place out and give yourself a $20 budget to see how you do.”

“Placed an order online and scheduled a grocery pickup. All items were in stock. The parking lot was full with other customers. The two gentlemen Fenil and Rushabh were fast and efficient to ensure all customers receive their order. One of the last customers to receive my order during that small rush. Both Fenil and Rushabh were we're apologetic for the delay. We had a short conversation about life and weather. Both were extremely professional and friendly. I offered a tip both employees but it is against walmart policy to receive any tips. Hoping I get to see these guys on my next grocery pickup.
