The portions are large. And battered onion rings are awesome. We had steaks and pork chops. Both were cooked just to our order and delicious. In house deserts are as tasty as they are pretty.

Excellent food & service. Clean facility, cute western decor. Try the portobello mushroom fries or sweet potato fries with a yummy cinnamon sauce. Also, very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back.

Holy smokes!!!!! Get the fried cheese! It's unbelievable. All homemade dressings for the salads. We love 2.5 hours away and are looking for reasons to go back!!!!!

Quiet, clean. Decent food. Good prices. I came with family as we were in the area visiting the site of a family homestead and cemetery. I would eat there again if in the area. They also had cute t-shirts for sale.

This is a great little cafe in Welch serving yummy burgers, chicken sandwiches and other comfort food. We got a large take out order and it was packed well, on-time and affordable. Cute decor inside.

I travel a lot and I really like to check out these small diners in these little towns and I must say this is as good a one as I've ever ate it. I ordered the open face hot beef sandwich $9.99. It came with mashed potatoes and a vegetable (I chose hominy) and a salad my helper ordered a double cheeseburger with fries $10.99. I must say I hope you're hungry because these are some large portions. The inside was clean and the staff was friendly everything was promptly delivered to the table and overall it was a very good experience. I will definitely be coming back here whenever I'm in the area.

Reviewed June 6, 2018 Health score 82 out of 100 The best cafe in town....... The only cafe in town. It really is a very good little cafe. Good food, good service and clean. Parking in the middle of the street!! I had the chicken fried chicken and my wife had the buffalo chicken salad. We drove up, to give it a try and then to go to the Route 66 Vintage Iron Museum in Miami. Took the back roads to find something new. If you are in the area give "The Cow" a try. Dramatic pansies that instead of properly letting someone go they try to bully the employees out of a job, and if am employee stands up for themselves they just stop scheduling them hours. Can't get their s*** together either, "manager" trains, and then when employee is told to do something different and is asked who taught them the way they were doing it "manager" then disagrees. And the lack of communication is horrendous.

Great salad, green beans, black eyed peas, fries and baked potato which accompanied all you can eat fried fish on a Thursday evening. Our first time here but definitely will be back to try other dishes even though it's a bit of a drive for us. Recommend also the food came out hot and the service was really good.

When you drive through a small town like Welch, there's not a whole lot going on. So when you see a lot of cars parked out front of a restaurant, it doesn't necessarily mean it's gonna be good. But in this case, it definitely does. Everyone was friendly, my food was amazing, and I can't wait to go back! I recommend the "Bought The Farm" burger, a classic bacon cheeseburger with a fried egg. And the homemade chips are like the spiral cut spuds that you get at the fair. All in all, a wonderful place at any location, but especially in Welch, where your options are limited.

I've been here about 10 times now. The all you can eat catfish on Thursday nights is really good but my favorite is the chicken fried chicken. The best I've ever had. I'm wanting to try the steak night soon.

The food was phenomenal, atmosphere was cool! For such a small rural town it's worth the detour to stop and eat!

Awesome small town vibe. Very friendly staff and costumers. Jasmine was our waitress and guide around town. She suggested the steak fingers and she was right! Great stop on a long drive

Situated in a very small town with limited food options, The Cow is about as good as you can get. A cute cow/country themed diner with a good selection of café favorites, it'd be hard not to find some comfort food to love. I had the country friend steak with mashed potatoes and hubby had the chicken fried steak sandwich. Again, tasted exactly like we expected; not overly special but decent and filling. We came here back in the fall and it's a great place to stop for lunch on the way to or from Annabelle's Fun Farm. Definitely an A-OK experience and one we will come back to again.
