My family and I been staying in the area for some months now. We know one of the workers he’s a okay guy he and my husband have “dad jokes” together. So that should tell you we are a friendly family and get along with others. We have never had any promotion until this new older lady she’s been there for about month or a little over. Well today my family and I went into the store today my daughter had a rough day at school so I took her to the dollar general to get some Oreo ice cream that was $2.50 before tax and she found a purple pumpkin water bottle for $1.00 against before tax. My daughter put her items on the counter I swiped my card and she handed her $1.00 and my husband was handing her change the lady looked at my 7 year old daughter and said “why are you giving me this”. I look at her and said ma’am you rang up 2 items. “She said okay, it’s more than $1.00” I said you don’t see her father handing her the change. “She stated again why is she giving it to me.” I told her again ma’am if you’d do your job and look at what you rang up you’d see why she’s giving you money. Then the guy that’s has time dad jokes with my husband comes over and says to me what is your problem and turned everything on me. I have never felt so disrespected this store needs better employees. I understand people don’t want to work and I get older people feel like they shouldn’t have to work. You shouldn’t take your problems out on everyone else because your too old and don’t want to work. You made the choices you did in life to force you where you are. So just deal with it like the rest of the world. You all are no better then anybody I hope that your new manger Sophia will set a better example and work environment for the store.

There's always blocked aisles. No one works there. Which is fine, because you'll not find what you're looking for, if you do find what you're looking for, you won't find an accurate price, and it will be slightly off--the wish version of what you were actually going for. So you'll leave it there, with all the other stuff that looks like it was haphazardly thrown back. Which is actually a good thing because if you were to buy it, you'll have to find someone who claims to work there to ring you up. And that's if you can get out of the trap they've set with merchandise in the floor, netted cargo stackers blocking every aisle, and cardboard boxes of half-shelved merchandise stacked along every aisle. Don't try to maneuver a cart through any of it, it's way too cluttered and you'll end up abandoning it, further cluttering the store. You just hope to get out safe if there's ever a fire. Good luck.

This fat black lady was rude to the customer waiting to check out in front of me. Then she was lazy and rude to me. Seriously just go to Walmart across the street!

They are rude and disrespectful, laughing at me and making fun of me because I couldn't read the small print because too short to see it on top shelf where they had the product marked for less than what it was. More or less calling me stupid and stating they wanted to laugh at me than started laughing. Won't EVER go here again and have ensure to tell everyone I know not to also.

Okay , so I have gave this store many chances going here for about 13 years. Today I walk in and a lady starts yelling leave the book bag up front. I was totally confused you mean my purse? That’s a big NO for me, I wouldn’t trust my purse with these random revolving door of employees. I immediately walked out she is very rude and needs to learn how to talk to customers.I’m officially done I can shop somewhere that is clean well stocked without rude employees. I’m sure no one cares that they have lost another customer but al least they won’t be getting my hard earned money anymore. Good luck if that rude lady continues to work there.

The store was filthy which isn't even my issue but is important for context. My son and I went to the store this AM to look around, as we had some free time in between places to be. What I needed, they didn't have- no big deal. My son is 3 and has Autism. He started looking at the toys and then candy and repeated a couple of times; he was just looking for something he wanted. He would look and put things back where they went, if at all possible (things were just thrown in places to begin with). Broken shelves were in the middle of the isles and it was not a sanitary environment whatsoever. The cashier walked by and asked if we needed anything. I said "no thank you, we are just-". She cuts me off to say "walking around and letting him touch all over everything ",gave me a dirty look and then walked off. It was super out of line. They were not busy. He wasn't opening anything, sick/coughing on anything or remotely being a disturbance. Situations like going in a store are learning opportunities for my son. I don't expect people to understand, but i do expect respect. She must have been feeling some type of way, because she can't even pretend like he was compromising a sterile environment.

This is probably the worst Dollar General I ever been to. The store is a mess: shelves are empty, there are tons of unpacked boxes and trash on the floor, it is filthy. Front door glass is broken and "fixed" with a board and a duct tape... Cashiers are never to be found. This store is super ghetto!

This store should not be open. It looks as if it’s under construction. It is unsafe and disgusting. The staff is clearly miserable and it shows!
