The pharmacy is awful. My son who has moderate autism with ADHD had bmhis ADHD medication refill sent there. After a week I hadn’t heard anything from the pharmacy there at all. I was at Utica Square today and decided to pop in guessing it was probably filled and they just forgot to text. After waiting behind 7 people, the girl with long brown hair working in the pharmacy let her friend cut in front of me even though at that time no one was behind me at that time. Even her friend was embarrassed about how rude it was. Then I was told that they just don’t have that medicine and have no idea when they will again. It would have been nice and professional to get a phone call or a text telling me that they don’t carry it. So It’s Friday and I’m scrambling to get ahold of the nurse to send a new prescription to a different pharmacy hoping to have before the weekend… SINCE MY NON-VERBAL l 8 yr old with AUTISM has a difficult time without it AND I can’t explain it to him. WOW, if it was me I wouldn’t be upset but their callous, lazy behavior is going to effect him

Now I see why this place has 2 stars. I go to make a purchase and the woman with the gray hair mullet cut is RUDE. My chip wasn't working. This person didn't bother to put her CELL phone down to help. She could have either backed out and reswipe or at least helped. However now I see why Walgreens are shutting down poor customer service. And she will always be at 59 year old cashier with a cell phone. I took my service to CVS where I had not one issue.

Poor communication. 1. Called ahead to make sure an injectable statin was available and told to come in next day. 2. Came in next day and they did not have med in my dosage - told to come back next day. 3. Came back next day and told they did not have it and would not be available for theee days. Big waste of time - pharmacy not on their game in terms of inventory management or customer service. Will not use them again. They make their problems customers problems.

I don't know why this Walgreens gets bad reviews, I also have a good experience here!

The kid behind the pharmacy counter was super rude, acted like he was doing me some favor. I smiled. I was nice. He didn't pay attention to what we were and and rang me up wrong, doubled my total. I don't know what his problem was. He seemed like he was mad at me before he even knew I was there. Just unhappy to be at work and letting it show The whole experience was a bummer.

HORRIBLE people!! Horrible employees with miserable lives who do not know how to converse with other human beings. I walk in two days before I’m set to deliver my child and the old woman behind the counter was so rude, saying that my package wasn’t there and was sent back because it had been there for too long, when it only arrived yesterday. She didn’t even bother to check the system before she spewed out whatever she could to get me out. I then call the store to double check that she didn’t miss it because she was decrepit and a man told me it wasn’t. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with fedex who said that this store did have it, so when I called back this old man at the store was YELLING AT ME saying he just didn’t know what to tell me and that it wasn’t there and the old woman who I met earlier was in the background telling him what to say.
Absolutely atrocious people.

Scheduled 2 vaccinations. They were out of one and did not honor appointment time. I am so disappointed. Is there a pharmacy in midtown that is not terrible. This is my 3rd Walgreens. Maybe someone else.

Christopher just gave me the best customer support. Not feeling too heard after an urgent care visit and the medication instructions from the doctor didn't add up. He looked into the issue and got an answer and also explained the medication better than the doctors and nurses did. Thank you so much Utica Walgreens and Chris. I sincerely appreciate your time.

Things seem to be getting a bit better here. Yesterday one of the pharmacists took the time to help me resolve an issue regarding a situation with their computer records; two remaining refills were somehow deleted from a long standing script even though I never filled them. He spent time getting it resolved and couldn't have been more helpful.
However, this location has had challenges for a number of years. I live within walking distance and at one time was so frustrated I switched to 31 & Harvard. I agree with the other posters comments on the weird hours which change fairly often. The store is periodically and inexplicably closed from time to time and was earlier this week. It's my understanding Walgreens opened a pharmacy in St Johns (across the street) presumably to cut down on the pressure on this very small store.
Its clear people expect more, particularly in this location. I understand this is a challenged industry and have been told there's a nationwide shortage of pharmacists. Be that as it may, new mgmt coupled with an updated overhaul/remodel of the facility would work wonders. Walgreens has a published gross profit of $27B for the 12 rolling months ending in May 2023, my sense is they need to reinvest some of that here.........

Your employees in the pharmacy are rude lately . Today a black woman wearing glasses was incredibly rude towards the customers and was not considerate of people waiting in line. She was smiling but indifferent to people. She made me wait longer because when i had finished paying she walked away from the register and i had to wait for her to return to give me the receipt.
BLATANT RUDENESS
I am switching to CVS.
Tired of your long lines, short hours and rudeness like today was intentional.

We've gone to this pharmacy for years and always preferred it and had great service. But they keep cutting their hours and days open and it's ridiculous. It is one of the busiest pharmacies and in a nice location. I don't understand the drastic change in hours. They used to be open 24 hours which was really convenient being next to hospitals for patients leaving the ER and needing medicine. Then they changed it to set hours no longer 24hrs. Then they added a hour lunch break where the whole place is closed. Then they cut the Mon-Fri hours back again. Now they are not open on weekends. It's just ridiculous and no longer convenient or easy to get medications here. We will be switching pharmacies.

I would leave negative stars if possible. I'm going home from surgery with no meds because they can't run their system and verify my insurance. I'll have to pick them up at my trusty home town RX shoppe. Their level of incompetence is amazing.

Vivian was pharmacy cashier today. She couldn't have been more UN friendly. Didn't greet us, never smiled, whispered so soft we had to ask her to repeat everything she said. Surely Walgreens can do better than this. At least maybe some training. She gave the clear impression she couldn't care less about us.

Its so disappointing when a business as well known as Walgreens doesn't have their ducks in a row. On line it clearly says Walgreens is a USPS drop off location provided they have a FedEx counter. Not one person in the store including the manager on duty is aware of this at the Walgreens I just went to. Ive even mailed USPS from this Walgreens in Utica square before, but today I can't. You can drop off Fedex at this location but they are telling me"nope" on the USPS. The staff is looking at me like I'm crazy. I told them to read about it on line. Nevertheless, it would be so nice if they could get up to speed and consistent.
