Leaving one star review due to the fact I still have yet to receive my $500.00 deposit back from renting a car the beginning of September! Not only is it a pain that you can’t call and talk to anyone, they have told me numerous times it’s my bank and my bank is showing no signs of a deposit return. I’m definitely trusting my bank on this one. I’ve asked for proof of my deposit being returned and have been given an absolute run around. I will not rent from here again and suggest you do the same. This is theft, I will rent a bird scooter before I rent from this place again!

If you want to be left stranded in Tulsa International with nothing but a plethora of company numbers to call and absolutely ZERO help, make sure to book through thrifty. Oh, and be sure to ask for Tim, who will happily crack jokes and smile his way through telling you to get lost and figure it out. Thanks Thrifty! Top notch on all fronts ?
Also, the immediate response from an automated message confirms this company is an absolute scam and should be shut down. Abysmal customer service/business.
Also also, changing the automated message to include my name to make it seem more personal means nothing when the only outcome you're striving for is to steal money from EVERY customer that has the miserable experience of using your "service".

We arrived at Tulsa airport only to find out because we had booked with a credit card in my name instead of my husbands that we would not be given a car since he was the driver (they also did not have a car reserved for us even though we reserved weeks in advance and they had charged us already, not a hold, a charge. They said it was in the fine print, but I had never seen it). And they can do nothing to help you at the desk to cancel or get a refund, everything you have to call about and to get to a live person takes an eternity. I’m still waiting on a refund 2 weeks later, the customer service on the phone was a little better, but definitely pick another option, their low price does not excuse how they treat their customers.

I have a reservation and none of the counters are open at the Tulsa airport. Both inside and outside are closed. How am I supposed to get the car I reserved

Do not rent a vehicle from thrifty. We paid for a package up front using a credit card in my wife’s name even though the booking was made in my name. As a totally and permanently disabled veteran I was forced to walk with a cane pulling a luggage to the furthest end of Tulsa international airport to a small building under the parking garage. They stated for an unknown reason that I couldn’t rent a vehicle from them. So my wife presented the same credit card used to purchase the package only to be told they would not rent her a vehicle as well. Again they could not give a reason for this. After calling and emailing them for days they would send a generic message that made absolutely no sense. However we could go to the hertz building next to thrifty and they rented us a vehicle. I’ve proven to them that we both have a valid drivers license and the credit card presented to them was in fact the same card used to book the trip that has a credit limit far exceeding the cost of said rental. I advised the individual that I spoke with over the phone that they were leaving a disabled veteran stranded and they didn’t care . I WILL NEVER RENT FROM THRIFTY AGAIN!!!!!!!! Your business practices are subpar at best.

Tried to steal our money. My wife reserved a vehicle online including paying for it fully. She goes to pick it up and they wouldn't give her the already paid for vehicle because she doesn't have a credit card. Then they refused to refund her the money she had already paid for the vehicle they won't give her. Do not rent from this place!

Picked up a mini van on 7-22-24 with 3/4 of tank of gas in it, returned 1 week later with full tank minus 3 miles from gas station , we did not do a walk around they just hand you the keys an say it's over there somewhere, I took pics of the fuel gage but still wanting to charge me $60 for 5.11 gal, this is so wrong, steer clear of this rental company,

My experience with Thrifty/Hertz customer service has been a total nightmare. I have emailed and made several calls and it's always get back to you in3 to 5 business days and nothing. I rented a car with preexisting chip in the windshield. They are trying to change me $444 for something that could not be seen in the dark parkiIng garage at the airport I will never rent from this company and I will never refer anyone to them.I appreciate the quick response but the link doesn't work

Terrible service, they took my mom and would not allow me to pick up a car I reserved. This is the worst car service by far in the state, they run a faulty business that is built on greed & has nothing to do with servicing the customer. They haven’t responded to any emails concerning receiving my refund, and are planning on timing out the request so I don’t get one. Please before you use there service stop and read this, all personal experience.

Y'all stole my money through Priceline and didn't allow me to rent a car. I need a full refund today it's been 10 days give me my 250$ back. Y'all don't answer the phone and haven't in 10 days.

They charged me $317 for key/parts? I can't even reach anyone to discuss what on earth they are charging me for. I rented and returned the car the same day ended up costing me $400+. Even went to their website to request a call back and they never responded through email. I would never recommend this rental service to anyone.

It honestly takes a lot for me to write a bad review, but I'm trying to warn everyone else: DON'T RENT FROM HERE.
I rented a car for 4 days. I returned the car the day I was supposed to, but I was late. Understandably, I knew there would be a fee or maybe even an extra day applied.
Instead, MY BILL was 300% more for a FULL WEEK RENTAL despite having returned the car. They told me an extra day made it five days and their standard is to make 5 days a full WEEK RENTAL. Talk about dishonest and sneaky!!!
So, I had the car for 4 days, but paid a full week for being a few hours late. The kicker is I didn't even get to keep the car for the next few days, because it was already checked back in!
SO BE WARNED. RENT ANYWHERE ELSE. THRIFTY HAS SOME NIFTY CONS.

The gentleman in the Thrifty rental booth in the garage at Tulsa airport was kind and efficient in spite of the line of people and the cold temperature.
We were on a time crunch to get to a family event so took the first car they offered. It was obvious this had been previously rented by smokers and we could tell something had been used to try and mask the smell. Unfortunately we did not have time to stand in line again to exchange vehicles. 48 degrees out and we had to drive with windows down for the 1 1/2 hour uncomfortable drive to our destination. Mentioned our dissatisfaction when returning the car, was told 'unfortunately that sometimes happens'. Thrifty advertised all vehicles are non-smoking, but clearly not the case. No recourse whatsoever.
