There's only one This Land Press in Oklahoma, and it's in Tulsa. Get the "This Machine Kills Facists" sticker.

We love this shop at the Tulsa airport. Please post your kiosk hours somewhere, though. I love picking up locally made Oklahoma gifts here, and their book selection is fantastic. You learn about OK just browsing the shop!

Rather than concentrate on historical sufferings of black folks, attack contemporary dysfunction (back-on-black deaths, for example) in black communities. You do know they you may have fallen for this trap: “Many white liberals have adopted blacks as mascots, in order to 'make a statement' against American society. But mascots are only symbols, and their well-being is seldom a top priority.†– Thomas Sowell

The light and power of true journalism burns bright at This Land. Raw, honest, powerful. Thought provoking. THIS is how all journalism and writing should be.

In the beginning I thought This Land Press was a brilliant, much needed breath of fresh air. I loved the real stories, the real people, the exhilarating vibrance. Lately I haven't felt the same. I love getting it, and opening it. But feel shorted in the end. The move to a quarterly leaves me queasy.

I first encountered This Land Press via a chance radio broadcast, on one of the local NPR/APM radio stations, a couple of years ago. I still recall the mesmerizing excellence, that transcended "political leanings", shared at that time. I'm glad that someone, somewhere, saw fit to share that window to excellence-remembered in and/or within this venue/framework/format because one can't have too much excellence. Thanks again. Period.
