MaryEllen, is the sweetest person I have ever meet, she is so knowledgeable & care about what she put you in. My dr told her just to put me in a Mastectomy bra. MaryElle went above that & made sure it was fitting me appropriate. I Will Recommend The fitting room to everybody that I know that has had Mastectomy.

I’ve been there twice. The first time I had to wait a little while as they were very busy but the second time was maybe a five minute wait. Mary Ellen is very professional and proficient in guiding you through what you need, she’s very knowledgeable as to what your insurance must provide you and will pay for, very helpful in coordinating your needs with your insurance and obtaining a prescription from your physician, and is a certified fitter. She’s been doing this many years and delights in assisting women to meet their needs. I highly recommend this place. It is small, quaint, And has a lot of items so not much room to get around. Would be very difficult for someone using a walker or a wheelchair. It is handicapped accessible. I would highly recommend this place.

Unfortunately, I experienced what the other negative reviewers felt about their experience with The Fitting Room. I'm sure this business provided help to many ladies in their time of need. I experienced incompetence and rudeness. I truly would have liked to leave a glowing review but after 3 visits and about 2 hours later, The Fitting Room and I had to part ways. I will be visiting another store in Utica Square that offers the same product but without the argumentative personality and disrespect.

They provide an invaluable service and they really care. Unfortunately, their lack of organization, communication, professionalism and customer service instinct may leave you feeling otherwise. I don't want to think that they do not respect their customers time but I spent over 4 hours between 2 visits just to be charged 5 times the amount I was quoted by phone. This mistake happened because, although I had already spent 2 hours being fitted, the owner did not familiarize herself with my file and quoted me the wrong garment. Once she figured that out, she realized she was quoting me the wrong insurance. By this point I was 2 trips and 3 hours into this debacle. I asked her to ring me up and let me leave, that took another hour. The more mistakes she made, the more it was my fault, I was making her "crazy" and all I wanted to do was pay and leave. I'm recovering from breast cancer and this has been my 2nd worst experience. The first being the cancer. They really need to respect their customers time by getting organized and communicating amongst themselves. Anyone that is shopping here has probably gone too many doctors appointments. Anyone shopping here probably doesn't want to spend any time away from home that they don't have to. It is completely unacceptable that shopping for a bra and a compression sleeve took over 4 hours all due to poor organization and poor communication between staff members. It's so disrespectful.

First experience in The Fitting Room was for a lymphedema sleeve. Last week I returned after my breast cancer symmetry surgery for a compression bra. The fitting process was very professional and the bra is very comfortable. I have found them to be a wealth of information and are very helpful!

Mary Ellen spends the time with you to ensure that items fit. She also has a good inventory: it's pretty things which is a huge factor ( in my opinion).

1st time I brought my grandma in she had an appointment at 10:30 and Mary Ellen was 25 mins or so late, saying she had to put her cats away. Then spent 2 1/2 hours+ being fitted for an arm sleeve and bra and left with the bra. Turns out the bras are to small for her. Here again at 10:00 to pick up her arm sleeve and see about a bigger size in the bras and the lady is once again late, saying my grandma's appointment was at 10:30. Well here it is 10:38l and still NO Mary Ellen. Wouldn't recommend this place AT ALL!! -10!! IF I COULD PICK NO STARS I WOULD!!
