2 1/2 weeks, $3500 total, Broken AC...
I brought my vehicle to this location on 61st Street to get my AC fixed.
I was told by a customer service rep named Jon that my compressor, condenser, an expansion valve had all gone bad and needed to be replaced and it would cost me $2040 to fix.
I haven't suffering so long with no AC so I told them to move forward and fixing it.
They had it for a few days called me back said it was ready when I picked it up it was still blowing hot. They had no idea what the problem was but told me it couldn't be anything other than possibly low on freon so I let them keep the vehicle so they can correct this mistake.
I was called again by Jon to let me know my vehicle was ready for pickup and it was blowing ice cold. Again the vehicle was not ready to be picked up and was still blowing hot. We started dealing with the manager Shane at this point who insured us that he has his best mechanics on the job to get our vehicle fixed and it was his main priority. I was personally told that an extensive check would be done on my AC before doing any work to ensure that it was fixed correctly. Upon talking to Shane about the so-calledextensive check that the mechanics we're supposed to do he said that he did not check anything inside the dash of the vehicle because he felt there was no need. I told Shane I did not want him to work on my vehicle any longer because I felt the mechanics did not know how to fix this issue. He insisted on his mechanics working on my vehicle because he felt they could fix the problem. I told him I would only allow his mechanics to fix my vehicle any further if he assured me I wouldn't be charged any more money and he agreed.
Possibly a week and a half after that conversation Shane calls me and tells me it's going to cost me more money because they found a leak in the dash.
I refuse to pay because me and Shane had a conversation and I told him I would not pay any more money. Shane said that the part will cost only about 350 plus labor it's not that much more expensive..
At this point I felt that it was time to involve Shane's bosses.
He did ask one more time if he could work on my vehicle and I said no and a mechanic in Sand springs named Randy reached out to me.
My car was moved to same-day auto in Sand springs where The manager Randy and AC professional. Talk to me through the entire process, took pictures before and after of all his work, personally told me that the shop at 61st Street Mishandled this situation. I was told that The compressor condenser and expansion valves were symptoms of a larger problem but not the problem.
Randy also informed me that he poured another 13 to 1500 dollars into this vehicle that I wasn't accountable for because of how poorly the mechanics handled my vehicle at the 61st Street location.
So my final takeaways from my visits at 61st Street same day auto is they do not care about the customer nor our hard-earned money we are giving to this establishment. I know this because I personally offended by Shane when he told me another $350 on top of $2,000 was not that much more money.
To anyone who may be considering this location for your vehicle troubles I highly recommend you do not consider this location.
If it wasn't for Randy at the Sand springs location I would say not to support this franchise at all.
Fortunately the owner of this organization has a skilled and professional employee in Randy!
However at the end of the day I'm experiencing an adequate professional outcome at the Sand springs location! !

I had a great experience at Same Day Auto Repair! Shane made our vehicle repair very easy. He was great on keeping us updated on the progress of the repair every step of the way. He worked well with our Vehicle Service Contract company on their part of the repair. Shane was also very helpful in arranging a tow for the vehicle when it quit. I was very happy with their services.

Great place for oil change. They took care of me and my vehicle, fairly quickly. They gave good recommendations. I will go back.
Starter went out and they were able to get it replaced quickly. A little more pricey than I was quoted by someone else, but they were in the middle.

We are traveling back to St. Louis. One tire has a slow leak yesterday. I called today and Shane had me come right in. Within an hour the nail was removed and tire repaired so we can make it home safely. Shane was very helpful and made sure I was taken care of right away! Excellent prompt service! Thank you!!

I waited even with an appointment which was not a problem but then when I was told I was good to go I had to ask what the issue was with the tire. I was told it had to be plugged between tread but I could tell by the look on the man’s face he had no idea. Two days later my tire was losing air again just like when I showed up to get it fixed to begin with. I took it to another store to be shown a nail in the sidewall and it had not been plugged at all! Not at all the experience I’d have had if I’d just have gone to the Berryhill location I usually go to. I’ll not be back! I also sat in the waiting room listening to him explaining time and time again to each customer why there were extra charges….not a reputable location at all!

Same Day Auto at SouthernHills repaired my car as quoted. An after market part problem arose and the business corrected it, absorbing the difference in parts costs themselves to avoid charging me more than initially quoted. Due to the aftermarket part problem and their needing to order a factory replacement part it took additional shop time but I was not charged more than my original quote. (There was additional technician time and computer part programming time) I was very pleased with my experience with the Same Day staff and quality of work.
