My visit to this store was nothing short of bizarre. I asked an older gentleman who appeared to be an employee for help with a selection and was given the cold shoulder, along with a handful of muttered words that made it sound as though he was telling me that he was just a customer, not an employee. Three minutes later and this same "customer" is yelling at another customer - a perfectly congenial looking (although horrified) man in his mid-40s - for some indecipherable reason. Turns out he *is* an employee. An employee who'd prefer to be anything but. And with my luck, he's about to be my checkout person.
I figured I'd stall a bit, hoping that the other checkout lane might clear. So I'm standing around feigning interest in random bottles and hearing this dude grumble and curse off in the distance. Entirely separate from but complimentary to this part of my Parkhill journey is the slew of wasted homeless people who've wandered in, one of whom is trying to ask me for money whilst I skulk around the aisles in a desperate attempt to avoid the Parkhill Grump's attention.
It was a silly experience - I put my things back on the rack and left. As I walked out of the store, I passed a man urinating onto a building wall. Parkhill isn't what it used to be, and I can assure you that there are better liquor stores in Tulsa. If this is the sort of stuff you care about, my suggestion is to avoid it. For context, this happened ~1 month ago. It isn't my first negative experience at Parkhill, but it will serve as my very last.

Parkville is hands down THE liquor store in Tulsa when it comes to selection. One of the few in town, other than "Aspen Liquor" who carries Ouzo, and they always have Fosters. Plus a good selection of German beers. They are also fairly fast in service and will carry your stuff to your vehicle. It's a good place. If you're looking for something specific, and can't find it anywhere else, this is where you have to check. Their selection is HUGE.

I don’t usually leave reviews for places but today is a different story. I went in looking for a whiskey to try and met Preston. He ended up giving me about a 30 min rundown of different whiskeys and their start to finish production. From how they are made to the taste and a history of the distilleries. It was absolutely awesome. I will be back just to hopefully ask him some more questions.

I’ve been coming here, for over 30 years, because of the great selection. However, my past few experiences, have been horrible. They still have a great selection, but the employees, are less than friendly. When you ask for a specific item, they act like it’s an inconvenience, and pop an attitude. I doubt that I will be returning, anytime soon
