“My trim and drywall guy (with DECADES of experience) sent me here for some difficult to match stain. They had custom mixed a shade, but when the wood soaked it up, the type of wood made it way too light. I took the stain back to see if they could adjust it. In a matter of minutes, they had the stain darkened. I had it back to the trim installer in no time so the job could get completed. I'm happy to know about this store because I had already purchased at least 4 samples of pre-mixed stain from a big box store, and none of them were even close. The personnel were extremely responsive and knowledgeable. I now have Sherwin Williams logged in my head as a "pro tip" for difficult matching challenges.”

“This is my home store. I own a construction business and carry an account with Sherwin Williams and I prefer this store at 31st and Sheridan over most others. The staff here are friendly and they make a point to remember you. They are also some of the most well trained people I have come across. They are masters at matching a color for you And offer usable advice on the type of paint needed for the job requested. Store is often busy at 9am and noon, expect a wait of up to 30 minutes at these times to receive service or to even check out. Wide variety of paint related products but that is it, want a Coke?, go next door. Need a 1 1/2” oil cut-in brush?, this is the place.”

“Elder is the spot for custom finishes and fancy paint. The staff is always awesome and most have been there a long time, a good sign of good place. Unfortunately there’s only 1 location.”
