I made a reservation online. I uber to the location to pick up my car & she tells me she has no cars available. She said I should’ve received a call this morning to cancel my reservation, but I did not. In fact, I called them TWICE & no one answered. But when I arrived there was no one else in the lobby & two people sitting at the desk (so there’s no excuse as to why my call couldn’t be answered). This place is horrible. The branch manager is rude (like another person commented FOUR MONTHS AGO - so how she still has a job, I don’t know). She is unprofessional. There is a way to do business & this is not it.

If I could give this place a negative I would. Be aware if you place a reservation even if it 3 weeks out and you want a gas vehicle you may get there to pick your vehicle and only have electric which we will not use on a trip besides knowing nothing about them The lady was extremely rude not her problem and didn’t want to help us figure out what to do. She told me to call customer service and I spent most my time talking to a girl robot who would not put me thru to an agent for a long time. Finally got thru to someone and it was not their problem. Customer service is as bad as the location

Made a reservation and called to confirm it. They told me, at 3:30, to call back in 45 minutes because the car was on hold for another customer but they weren't sure if they'd be able to get it. They close at 4. No one answered when I called back just after 4 and my reservation is not being honored. I wouldn't have bothered with the review, last minute reservations are tough, but giving me the run around and wasting more of my time waiting was really unnecessary.

Don't waste your time or money. Plus they add on last second fees and they dont tell you about it until you're there to pick up

Horrible experience. I had a reservation set and when I arrived, I was denied service because my married last name (recently updated on my ID) did not match the last name on my credit card. I even presented my passport, which confirms my maiden name and matches the card, but they still refused to honor my reservation.
I had taken an Uber to get there, and when I asked to speak to a manager, the employee told me she was “in charge.” While I was opening my Uber app to arrange another ride, she told me to step aside, not even allowing me the courtesy of a few minutes to call for a ride.
Completely unprofessional, dismissive, and unnecessary. I will never return and cannot recommend this location to anyone.

Had a reservation at the 49th peoria location arrive and no cars get stuck with a tesla or nothing. No j adapter and stuck at some station with no tesla adapters. Im done with Hertz

The average rating is spot on. Poor service. Poor communication. Poor attitude.
Waited 20 minutes for one of the two customer service reps to appear from the back. Rental online needed to be modified and apparently there was a $300 fee to be added on for a one way vehicle starting yesterday. Why? “Our manager just told us”
When we asked a direct question about vehicle availability, the only response the ‘manager’ would give us is: “our fleet is limited” like some corporate robot.
I can see why the direct number on the ‘managers’ card/online goes to a the generic Hertz call center.
Have a blessed day.

I was having a hard time finding a rental around at other rental companies, everyone was sold out, and I came to the hertz on Peoria, the two ladies inside were great, customer service was amazing, I can’t remember their names, but they made my experience very great, and such a easy process, I told them I would sign up to become a gold member, I heard that’s a quick process, can’t wait to continue doing business with Hertz!

This office is a circus. They can't even process payments by credit card correctly. Additionally, when they do they charge you an extra day if you use the dropbox to return the vehicle. Per the manager that was the way to go for my situation and then they charged an extra day by returning the car the day they returned to the office. Impossible to get corrected and this office never answers the phone. Full of excuses when you go in. They should focus less on food and learn how to do their jobs. They just sit in the back and eat. Never in the front working.

Branch manager called and said they had no rental for us when we had a reservation. She then told me to look around for one myself. Then hung up on me. I had terrible service. I will never rent from this location again.

I just made a reservation at this Hertz location and I’m standing here with 3 other women. All of us are being told there are no cars. I took a Lyft up here to get the vehicle and the lady at the front desk in the blue shirt shrugs and says sorry. Why is the site accepting bookings and there ARE NO bookings. Completely unacceptable as a hertz member. Now I have to pay for an uber to get another car someplace else.

I want to share my extremely negative experience with this car rental company. On Friday the 14th, the woman working at the office was very rude and disrespectful to me. The service I received was not only terrible, but I also found it to be pathetic.
Despite having a reservation made weeks in advance, when we arrived at the establishment 20 minutes before our scheduled time, we were informed that they did not have a car available. This is unacceptable, especially during spring break, when demand is clearly high. They decided to give the reserved car to someone else, leaving us without any means of transportation.
The customer service was awful, and to this day, I cannot understand how they can hand over a car that was already reserved. They offered us no solutions and left us stranded right before the holiday.
For all these reasons, I do not recommend renting cars from this company. I hope my experience serves as a warning to others
