If I could give this place zero stars, I would. For starters, the doorman was too busy on his phone to get up and open or hold the door for us. We then received an index card on where to park because there is also no valet parking. We followed the instructions to the parking garage level D for hotel guests. After paying $16 and parking (5 stories up), we stood waiting for an inoperable elevator with no sign. When we decided that it wasn't working and walking down, 5 levels with luggage would not be bad, but walking up would be unreasonable, we drove to a pay lot 3 blocks away having to carry luggage in 38° weather to a once again inattentive "attendant." He said that the parking garage was a 3rd party contract and shrugged. Finally, making it to our room and setting up, we found that the outlet by the bed wouldn't keep a charger in, it kept falling out of the socket and the top half of the television was dark. Given out and exhausted, we went to go get ice. FYI, it's on even floors only. Long story short, we'll be staying at one of the other many Courtyard by Marriott, NOT the Tulsa Downtown location.

Uncomfortable bed, terrible pillows, and a shower with no water pressure. AC only cooled in the sitting area leaving it ice cold while the bedroom was hot and stuffy.

An easy walk to the office! And we love the historic building. Walking distance to some pretty great restaurants.

Love the historical feel. Rooms were great. High ceilings and large walk in shower. We normally get a corner room but the room we had last night was just as good. Had a comfortable bed and slept well, we were at the PBR and were worn out. Stay here everytime we come up for the PBR.Edit... We stayed on the historical 7th floor. Still had the original doors and door knobs. Marble walls and terrazzo floors. It was amazing.

I flew into town to run the Route 66 race, and arrived early afternoon, expecting to not be able to check in, given how early it was, but fortunately they had a room ready.. The bad news was that my room key didn't work in the elevator, nor did it work on the room, so back down to the lobby I went, where the woman at the front desk greeted my problem with the attitude that I must be incredibly incompetent. Without letting me know what her plan was, she headed for the elevator and I had to call out after her, asking her if I was supposed to follow her. And of course, neither of my room keys would work for her either, not on the elevator and not on the door to the room. She had to use her magic little master key fob. After determining that, yep! Key cards didn't work, she just walked away, saying she needed to figure out why the keys weren't programming correctly, giving me no indication what the solution would be, and showing no concern or care about my predicament. Meanwhile, I needed to walk over to the Cox Center, but didn't want to leave my bag in the room without having any room keys, and worried I'd not be able to retrieve it later. So I walked the 1/2 mile to the convention center with my luggage. When I returned to the hotel about an hour or so later, the desk clerk gave me no update about the room key situation, no apology for any inconvenience that might have caused me, and I wasn't even sure she recognized me from the earlier situation. Given the unclear room key situation (and to be honest, the fact that the room backed up to the elevator shaft and in the short time I was actually in that room, I could hear the near constant elevator noises) I opened the smartphone app for a different hotel brand that happened to have a property right across the street and checked room availability. They did in fact have a room, so I decided to book that room and to let Courtyard know that, as a Marriott Elite Member, I was disappointed in how this was handled and that I was leaving. The total indifference of the desk clerk at the Courtyard pretty much made up my mind. I was resigned to the fact that I'd be paying for two different hotel rooms for the night, just to have a better hotel experience elsewhere, and did not ask for the charges to be reversed. Well the good news is that the Courtyard did in fact reverse the charges for my room, for which I can thank the very kind and helpful staff at the other hotel, who reached out on my behalf without my asking them to do so. This incident was not representative of the usually excellent quality of service and properties that I have experienced over the years at a number of other Marriott and Courtyard by Marriott properties. It was just an unfortunate lack of customer service and graciousness at this particular property.

Pay to park in the adjacent garage or park on the street for free. Pay attention when booking, we booked months in advance for an Aerosmith concert that got canceled and no refund on the room. Located in an area for young people night life.Note: If you stay and have children I would suggest the Gathering Place in Tulsa not far from this hotel.

I did not enjoy my stay here. I’m a young person who travels a lot for my job and I like to try different hotels when I stay in the same city often. First, my room was tiny. I’ve had much cheaper rooms that are twice the size and there wasn’t even a microwave. Parking is expensive and not accessible. I went to the bar for a drink and they made it very clear that they cater to business men and I did not feel very welcome. If you’re wanting to have fun when you travel don’t stay here. It’s only for older business men who drink brandy and smoke cigars.

I am a guest at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Tulsa at least twice a year, sometimes more. It’s close to my office, but also just a short walk to great dining, the historic Greenwood District #BlackWallStreet and the Drillers baseball field. I have also walked to the Gathering Spot and the TU campus from there but that is a long walk. The hotel is old and sometimes the water takes a while to warm up or the rooms are a bit drafty but it’s come to be home to me when traveling to Tulsa. There’s a sweet young lady that works at the registration desk and Trey is the most helpful shuttle driver and ad hoc security guy! If you are looking for something a bit more luxurious, I’d look at the Mayo, if you want to stay at a Marriott property but have something a bit newer, there’s a couple a few blocks away but if you need a clean bed, convenient location and a decent rate, this is your best bet.
