We took our cat Theo in 2 weeks ago because of rapid weight loss. They ran a blood test and determined he had an infection based off high white blood cells and high protein count. They sent us home with antibiotics. After 5 days he was even worse so we called with an update and the vet said it was part of the process and this would be hard to recover from. After 2 more days Theo started having difficulty breathing so we took him back in. The vet did a visual inspection and didn't even listen to his heart or his lungs and told us again it was part of process. We trusted him, because he's the Vet. 3 Days later we called again and said his breathing was very labored and he has not improved. The Vet assured us again that Theo would be fine, it was just a rough infection. On Sunday we came into the living room to find him lifeless on the floor. I started chest compressions while my wife found something hard to place him on for transport. We quickly moved him to the car and drove as fast as we could to Oklahoma Veterinary Specialist while I continued CPR. They took him straight back to try to revive him, and after 15 minutes there were no signs he would return. They told us that he had fluid around his heart. He had died from heart failure. IF this Vet had listened to us, and cared more, done an ultrasound it would have been clear what was actually wrong, and they could have gotten Theo on the right medication. This Vet failed him, and now he's dead. In hindsight I now realize I watched my cat suffocate to death for days and I did nothing. I really wish I had gone somewhere they cared enough to truly diagnose so I could have had Theo a few more years. You have my number, and you can call to apologize anytime. But most of all, I hope you take this to heart, and try harder next time.

I brought my sweet cat in to get a cough checked out, and had such a wonderful experience! Vet Chet Thomas and Andrew were so informative, helpful, and compassionate. I appreciated how comfortable they made us feel, how throughly my concerns were addressed, and the thoughtfulness we were regarded with (carrying the carrier to my car, cleaning the carrier after kitty soiled it, offering to dry clean the soiled linens inside!!) throughout the visit.
So happy I found such an awesome new vet.

Dr. Thomas is a lifesaver. My dog has had to go to him when she was having seizures and when she would eat things she shouldn't be. He was quick to act in both situations. He also doesn't cost an arm and a leg when in these stressful situations and truly cares solely about taking care of the pup. He is also my regular vet and has been there for many of my friends dogs. I HIGHLY recommend him and his team.
I would like to add that while some on his team are young, it is clear he is also extremely whiling to help give valuable experience to those who are wanting to be vets in the future and grow those in the local Tulsa area.

Avoid.
This vet actually lost my dog. He helped me lol for 30 minutes but then said he had to go back to work.
No apology or anything.

Called for a neuter for my little fella.. he’s fantastic less than a week later. Like it never happened.. everyone at this vet is so caring and knowledgeable.. great job to all.. think we may have found our new place :)

I have a feral black cat on my block and had him neutered at city vet and I am very pleased with the care and help he got. He was in pretty bad shape from fighting and doc helped with that too. I rate them 10 on a ten scale chart.

I cannot say enough amazing things about the veterinarian that helped me at City veterinary hospital my cat was attacked by an owl and I could not afford take care for her she was injured I called every veterinarian office in Tulsa and none of them would work with me on a payment plan with less than $500 down when I spoke to Dr Thomas he didn't say anything about finances he asked about the welfare of my cat and told me to bring her in when I said I could not afford to pay the bill in full he said "you just bring her in and let's get her healthy that's the priority the billing is secondary" this is a family business and they care not only about your animal but also about you I will never take my pet anywhere else and I will continue to tell everyone I know what an amazing family bones City veterinary hospital they are doing good things for our community which makes them part of the solution and that fills my heart

Dr Thomas is the best! He’s always kind and very informative. All the guys up there are also super kind and so sweet to my pups! They’re very quick with answering phone calls and I’ve never had an issue with getting in quickly or scheduling an appointment.
Sadie is amazing as well for always being so patient when grooming my doggies. Two of my dogs get very anxious and hard to work with sometimes. it takes a real dog lover to be able
to get them groomed, and Sadie is just that!
Thank you to all of you at city vet for always taking care of me, and most importantly, my fuzzy family!!
I will always recommend city vet!
