pretty sure the delivery person steals packages as mine always goes missing. they mark as delivered or incorrect issue. they also never answer the phone so there's no way to check if the package can be picked up there. place is a mess don't expect friendly or helpful service either they're all miserable and angry.

One star rating is too much. This US Post Office deserve no star at all. The African middle aged woman that always wear a hat on her head and usually sit at the first window, is obviously using her job to discriminate against a particular group of people she doesn't personally like. Maybe she need to be reminded that she's employed by the US government and she's going to have to deal with all people from the community. We don't need her awful attitude added on to an already failing post office. She makes the environment hostile. She likes to provoke (a certain group of) people by throwing their change at them through the slot, yelling "next" to avoid from saying thank you or you're welcome. She's truly a mess. I don't expect for this complaint to do anything to better the situation. I usually just avoid the USPS altogether, but very few times I have no choice. This is basically for the other women like me that are being abused and bullied by this postal services employee. Believe me, it's not you. That lady has some deep issues and shouldn't be servicing the people in our community. One star for this place is too many.

I have never experience such a dysfunctional Post Office. Who ever is managing this location on Main St in Yonkers should be replaced along with most of the people working there. They are rude and seem not to care if they help you or not. Is it wrong to expect polite service and knowledgable people to be working with the public? I was there on a Monday afternoon and the line must have had 25 people waiting. One clerk held up the line while she worked with a customer who did not have his paperwork done when he went to the window to mail his letters. She allowed him to fill out all his paperwork at the window for over 20 minutes while we all waited in line. It is my understanding that you should have what you need mailed ready when you go to the window. In other post offices they give you want you need and ask you to stand aside to fill out the paperwork while they take the next customer. When I asked to speak to a manager a very nasty guy who said he was a assistant manger came to the window. When I told him about the hold up and the excessive amount of people waiting he said that is the way it is. He also said that the customer holding up the line was a "business customer". What is that we all are customers and I have never heard of a special line or window for business. He refused to give me his name as well as he refused to give me the name of the clerk who was holding up the customers for this supposed "business customer". I have reported this incidence to the Dept. of Consumer Affairs for the Post Office. Here is the number if anyone else needs to report this location: 914 697 7002. Something needs to be done about this location as it has been like this for years.

Nasty employees! Specially the tall black female teller. She is rude, ghetto and incompetent. She misspelled the address 3 times because she was busy talking and being loud with another employee. The wait is ridiculous because they only have one open window! I just cant!

this has got to be the WORST post office in the county-rude clerks-never answer phone-and actually lost my checks TWICE-10705 needs a working post office-shut this one down

This is the worst run post office. The supervisor doesn't show any interest in helping if a package is lost and will never follow up if a carrier mis delivered the mail or packages. The post office has gone down hill and needs to be run better by better staff and certainly better supervisors.

A bunch of crooks and rude employees work at this post office location. They are my mail carriers for 10705 area. And every single time a package is delivered though this post office it is deliberately ripped or pried open. The package is not damaged, it was intentionally opened by someone from the post office. And if you're opening someone's package that means you have an intention which cannot be good.

Usually super busy, but fairly empty this morning. Lovely, helpful, & quick employee, Jhirmira, made today's visit 10/10. She had great energy.

Nasty attitude by the tellers They never deliver on time.. Ghetto as all hell ..... They lie about attempted deliveries .so you have to waste your time and go in person to get your package... They never in 15 years ive lived in yonkers they have picked up the phone..once...

This is the first time I have ever experience this with the USPS. I can't seem to get my mail delivered, held, anything! I requested a hold 3 times and they still attempted to deliver. Another time I got the info notice saying delivery was not possible because no secure place to leave it but then the next day it was left in the hall. Yesterday I requested a package be held at the post office... today I get the message it was delivered. Delivered where? The post office never picks up and it has been impossible to get clear answers. The workers all need to be retrained. 0 Stars and reporting them.

They never deliver mail on time and if u are expecting a package make sure it wss sent with signature required or else you will never receive it! They'll say they delivered it but didnt!

Worst post office on the planet. Slow , understaffed. Carriers never make any real effort to leave packages. Overall terrible service.

They suck! I ordered something from amazon, Amazon said it was delivered to a different address! thank god amazon gave me my money back! They're either d*** at they're job clearly or bunch of thieves. Oh and the mail lady or who ever man likes to rip off coupons on our catalog book like you can't go online and order a free one for yourself! Horrible!

This is the worst post office location I've ever encountered. I found mail in my garbage bin, and shoved over 30 pieces of MY mail in a broken old mail slot that was for a business office that is no longer located at my address, including a package from overseas AND bills!!! Packages are constantly marked as delivered, however they are not, or constantly late in delivery saying "attempted delivery" when I know they didn't because I was there and waiting for it to come. Something really needs to be done about this location and it's carriers, especially the ones delivering packages!
