They quoted and charged me $334.36. Then after everything was said and done they charged my card another $226 for fees and other made up charges that we did not discuss. They live up to there name and find thrifty way to charge you. Over $500 to use there car to go under 150 miles.

Thrifty Car Rental is a scam! Terrible service. We prepaid for a car rental. When we arrived in Detroit from OKC, the counter was not in the terminal as stated when we prepaid. We had to take the shuttle to a building to stand in a long line to be told that they would not honor my rental. I had my debit card instead of my husbands and he had made the reservation. I called customer service to be told they would cancel my reservation and create a new rental but it would be over $200 more and the canceled would take ten days to be refunded and they would place a $500 deposit on my card and I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT 24 hours for them to allow me to LEAVE THE LOT?????? The lady at the counter ended up disregarding the 24 hour policy i was told on the phone. We got a car, but left with a new rental amount of a $200 increase , the old rental amount and a $500 deposit taken out of my account. When my husband called to complain, he was told they would refund our original and after the car was turned in they would try to discount the increased rental. We rented on the 6th. Despite phone calls we still have not been refunded the original amount and they denied any help on the new rental that was $587!!! So much for a prepaid car ! They are crooks! This is Sept 27! I want my refund!

We had a great experience with this location. We reserved online a few weeks before our trip. We were greeted and checked in warmly. We reserved a compact car but was told that they did not have one available so they upgraded our car for free. When they found out we were driving to Lawton, she offered some advice and suggestions. Great customer service. Returning of the car was smooth as well. We highly recommend them.

I saw another post about this but it needs to change... was told I needed DL and a major credit card. Showed up with my chime credit and over $600 in the account which was more than twice the amount required.The receptionist was polite but could not provide me with an answer that made any sense at all as to why my card was being rejected... missed a family reunion and possibly the last chance to see some of my family.I feel lied to as I called the place before booking and was misinformed.. really believe there is a way to work with chime and it just comes across like Thrifty doesn't care..

Worst car rental place I've been to. They try and push you to upgrade, there are a bunch of hidden fees and to top it off, the clerk at the counter when I was picking up the car was incredibly rude!

OKC Thrifty Car Rental saved us when Hertz lied about having cars available, charged us $1,000 online and left us stranded 1,200 miles from home.Thrifty had cars and allowed us to continue travel. Easy pickup and drop-off too.

I don't know the name of the person working the counter Christmas morning but she was the most awful, uppity old witch I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. Canceled my reservation rather than deal with her. If I could give zero stars, I would.

The Toyota I rented was good except they did not install the apply CarPlay or Android auto function into the car. The car did have some dents and scraps when I got it. Overall it came with a full tank of gas, good A/C and the returning the vehicle was easy.

Had a good experience. Oddly -? I saw all the negative reviews and second guessed my booking here, but glad it all worked out. Booked a vehicle on Expedia and it was the cheapest of all the car rental companies. The Kia was not the best looking, or smoothest riding vehicle, but it got me from point A to B and didn't break the bank. The check-in process took about 15 minutes. This doesn't include waiting for the customer that was in front of me, but luckily Thrifty works with another rental company (can't remember the name), but they were able to assist me since all the rentals seemed to have only one person working. All I needed was my booking information, Driver's license and a credit card. My car was waiting under one of the covered lots. Inspected the car to ensure there was no additional damage before driving off. Upon return there is an area where you can drop the vehicle off afterhours and that is right in front of the call box that has a key, and paperwork drop off. Make sure to fill up the tank, otherwise they charge $10 a gallon. They did put a $300 hold on my credit card, but has since reflected the booking total. Why the 4 stars? You are suppose to fill out a brochure with miles, drop off time, etc when dropping off the vehicle after hours. I asked for a pen and they advised they aren't allowed to give away pens. Was there for a funeral and didn't plan on shopping, but ended up going to family dollar to buy a pen, and I even left it in the glove compartment for the next person. The should create an app or allow customers to fill this out online since not everyone carries a pen, such as myself.

Trash! Horrible customer service, this receptionist was super rude and didn’t accept my credit card because it was affiliated with Chime….please make it make sense. A credit card that’s accepted at major retailers…enterprise had no issues, hertz had no issues….still confused!? She could not give me a justified reason on why they don’t accept chime CREDIT cards. Although the Thrifty corporate office said they do…..still confused.
