I've had 2 rats "neutered" by them now and somehow they fucked it up 2x. The first time, they only took 1 testicle from my rat splinter and I've had that confirmed by 2 different vets at 2 different clinics, one of which performed an ultrasound on him. But I was willing to give them another chance so I took another one of my rats Bozo 2 weeks ago, he still has 2 testicles and now he goes to bite me everytime I put my hands near his mouth. I've had him 6 months and he's never ones bitten me and drawn blood. Prior to Bozos surgery I told the front desk lady about splinters predicament, and she told me she'd have the doctor call me, and he never did. And he in fact, opened up Bozo for nothing I guess? I went because it was cheap, but you get what you pay for I guess. I was willing to give 2 chances even after learning about the animal cruelty cases against this Vet, and I was wrong. Please please please spend the money and take your exotics elsewhere

We went for antibiotics to treat what the fecal test revealed and for unknown reasons this guy pressed on his abdomen so hard it made him cry out from the pain. Our little guy died the next day! Do not recommend this “vet” period

I would like to give a better review. What is happening with the criminal case against Dr stachmus? Please let is know what is happening with your case. We have been seeing you close to 10 years now and haven't been updated on anything. If you want to keep your pienrs please let us know what's going on and why.

Here’s a photo of what he did to one of many animals in his “care”, hard to believe a vet could sit back and watch a camel (why did he have exotic animals??) starve. One of many examples. His second bust. Pray for his license to be yanked and justice to be served.

I called to get my 8 month old Yorkie Lola seen and was able to get an appt the same day. The guy that scheduled the appt was awesome, had a great attitude!! Lola had a rough experience with her previous Vet and was really anxious at this visit. Lola nipped at the girl helping us and I was asked to muzzle her. I did NOT have a problem with doing that. I was happy that they asked me to muzzle my own dog rather then taking her from me to a back room and muzzling her and making her go crazy like the previous Vet did and brought her back with blood shot eyes. (Explains the anxiety-never nipped anyone prior to this ). The staff was kind and compassionate. Dr. Stachmus was very attentive and professional. I like that he was hands on and did things that usually the assistants normally do.(took her temp and stool sample). I asked last minute if they could trim Lola's nails and they gladly did it. It took 3 people to hold a 10lb Yorkie down for a nail trim but they did it so professionally. The guy that made the appt helped by talking calmly to Lola. All I know that it was busy and I seen a lot of teamwork and all my questions were answered. Thank you Brookwood Animal Clinic.

This vet has been in trouble for animal cruelty more than once, with several mistreated, malnourished and abused animals being seized from his property. Do not trust this monster with your animal unless you want it to die!

The vet there is Dr. Aaron Stachmus and is charged with 18 counts of animal cruelty for mistreating 354 animals that were confiscated from his property in 2021, and who had another 168 animals removed from his property in 2022. A veterinary board investigation found Stachmus was negligent, demonstrated incompetency to practice veterinary medicine, failed to practice veterinary medicine with reasonable skill and safety and failed to report to the proper authorities cruel or inhumane treatment to animals.

I've been coming here for quite awhile. i bring my dogs and my snakes and they always do pretty good. i've recently stopped coming here though and have switched vets due to two things: *the recent charges issued on one of their veterinarians for neglect of lots and lots of farm animals. last i heard, this veterinarian still worked here. *the fact that customers still cannot come inside the building. have to hand animals over to go in by themselves. i don't know of any other vets that still do this. Other than these two reasons, i really like this vet
