I’ve never felt so judged in my life. From the moment I walked in I knew something was off. I was told what I wanted for a wedding dress is unrealistic and to change my mind about what I want, that they didn’t have what I’m looking for and basically told “go somewhere else”. All I asked for is a long sleeve dress and said my budget wasn’t too high. I’d rather risk buying online and getting the wrong size than hand my money to a judgmental & rude business like this one. I told her one of my measurements and she looked disgusted and shocked like I’m wrong about my own body. I walked out of there crying. Don’t waste a minute of your life on this place, especially for the preparation of one of the MOST IMPORTANT days of your life. Hurt people, hurt people. Show some respect and compassion to your customers and maybe you’ll get more than 2 stars. If you want to judge people on how they look and what they want maybe reconsider your business as a whole and retire.

Had a wonderful experience. When I called to make a bridal appointment, Hattie was able to fit me in the following weekend. She took down some preliminary info and warned me that she might not have the widest selection in my size, which is understandable when you’re looking for a pre-loved dress. I didn’t find my dress, but Hattie was very helpful making suggestions. I ended up trying on eight dresses. I was the last appoint for the day, but she didn’t make me feel rushed or pressure me into anything. Very good experience!

The owner is SO RUDE AND CREEPY. I am a shy and quite individual, polite and dislike confrontation. This was the worse public interaction I have ever had with anyone. Please read reviews and do not go here.

This was the first time in my forty four years that I have walked into a store and immediately felt that I was not welcomed. I asked the owner what I had done to offend him with tears in my eyes. Not to get attention but because my mother in law had passed in a tragic accident and I was emotional trying to sort and consign my in-laws things. And the owner was the most dismissive person I’d ever run across. I wanted to break down and cry but I felt he would have probably called the police on me for being emotional.

Hattie was so helpful when I came in looking for my wedding dress! We talked about alterations, and every detail about the dress. There was such a large selection of beautiful dresses to choose from. The fact that I got a dress that was worth more than double what I paid for it was amazing. The dress was perfect on my wedding day and I can't thank Hattie and her husband enough for all of their help.

The blue dress is one I bought last year and had an amazing experience. The owners were very kind and considering I was by myself, helped me have confidence, gave me wonderful suggestions and wonderful compliments and some honest ones too about color, or how I lit up with this one versus settling with another. Took the time to make sure I was noticed and made comfortable even with other customers in the building.
Today, I went in looking for another event dress, again by myself, no appointment, grabbed some choices I liked and went to try them on. There were other customers being helped and I didn’t mind as I was prepared to do this alone. As soon as I stepped into the mirror, the owner complemented the dress and mentioned how with my hair (being red and the first dress being a vibrant green) why not! Their color scheme skills are definitely up to par. This dress was the second one I chose, and it laces up in the back. The second owner was helping another client of theirs so I asked a very nice random lady to just get the first one done so I could see it. When the owner was done she came over to help and laced it up, gave me more wonderful compliments and explained some alterations that could be made but were not needed and then gave me some recommendations that were closer to my home. Just overall very nice and wonderful people, Expert advice, and very helpful. I’ll be sure to update with the final product of this second dress, I am just ecstatic that I found this dress! Highly recommend for event dresses!

This place is a total scam. It is not a true consignment shop. They never sell anything because they are never open. Read the fine print contract very closely. They “donate” your stuff after 90 days of it not selling. When I questioned this policy I was immediately yelled at and cursed out by the guy who seemed to be the owner. None of my stuff “sold” so essentially they keep everything. They will rob you of your stuff and cuss you on the way out. It’s quite the business model they have for themselves, however it’s terrible on all levels for anyone else. Stay far away.

You should not buy or sell clothes here! The owners are extremely rude, condescending, and difficult!
Our first mistake was ever using the term "wedding dress" inside that building. The owner is the most condescending person I've met and INSISTED we use "bridal gown". She corrected us multiple times, to the point that we thought perhaps there was a difference between the two. Ma'am, we were trying to give you money. Your customers don't want to be corrected and treated as though we're stupid as soon as we walk in.
Our second mistake was not checking the reviews before we walked in. RUDE is an understatement. She belittled us, made comments about our body sizes, was disrespectful, condescending, pedantic, pushy, abrasive... I'll just stop there. It was a mistake not to walk straight back out as soon as she welcomed us by turning us away for not having an appointment.
In fact, the only thing that went right with our visit was that we didn't have an appointment. I'm glad we didn't have one; otherwise I would have had to spend more than ten minutes in her musty, customer-less shop.

Do not waste your time here. I had a very uncomfortable experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone!
The people that work there are extremely judgmental. I made an appointment and I specifically went in to try on a certain dress that was on one of the mannequins. They would not get it off the mannequin for me because 'it was too hard to put on the mannequin and they did not want to get it off'. Instead of that dress, the guy suggested a different dress that was form-fitting. When I tried that dress on, the guy made some extremely strange & uncomfortable comments about my body. Who does that? I knew then it was time to go and not give them my business. It also smells very odd in there, which makes the dresses smell weird. Please - from one bride to another - do NOT go to Nearly New.

Wish I could give 0 stars. The absolute rudest owners I’ve ever met. There was no one in the store, which now I understand why. I am planning on eloping soon to my partner. I picked out 4 dresses to start and as I was walking to try on the male owner grabbed them right out of my hand and stated “those are bridal dresses not elopement dresses. You need an appointment just like the sign says”. I immediately signaled my mother to leave because I refuse to support a business that treats people this badly. He then commented as I was walking out “we don’t want you here anyway”. Again I will make a point..there was no one else in this store so why did he have to be so rude? I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Please do not support such rude and selfish owners. There are so many other small businesses that deserve customers.

Went here to look around at the dresses for my wedding. Was told it was by appointment only. No problem. I try to book and she tells me dresses in my size are hard to find. Didn’t even ask what size I was. Very rude and snobby.

Don’t, I repeat do not take your item to this place for consignment. They have no customers, they will tell you none of your items sold, when you know something did because you purchased it. A criminal operation. STAY AWAY

I give them two stars for the quality and selection of men's wear but I'll never set foot in this establishment again. There is more attitude in this place than a gay bar. The old queen at the desk was just short of rude. You're selling used clothing Mary, there is no need to be a snob. It's nothing but an over priced thrift store with good lighting. Pleeeeez biatch
