If you haven’t been there in the last 1.5 years YOU need to. Great wine, beer & champagne. Courtney & the OG staff are still there under new ownership. Amazing people. Go see them at Modern for all your bourbon needs! Old Soul, Wilderness Trail, Elijah Craig & so much more. Oh and the Buffalo Trace/Chris Stapleton collaboration, the Traveller THEY HAVE IT!! If they don’t have it ASK, they could order it for you!

Modern has a truly great bourbon selection. They do a great job with barrel picks as well. I’ve grabbed a bottle of their Blue Note, High West, Neeley’s, and Heavens Door barrel picks, all of which have been exceptional. They also do a great job of putting the harder to find stuff out on the floor, you never really know what you’ll find going in there.

With the new owners taking over this place is like a new store. For starters it's clean and nice on the inside. The selection is fantastic, you can find just about any type of whiskey you are looking for. Staff is super knowledgeable and willing to help you find the right spirit. Definitely a top tier liquor store in the city. Almost as good as George's Liquors.
