Yuck. If I could give negative number of stars I would! For the last 22 years I have dealt with this bank for my mortgage and I absolutely despise them!!!!

One of the main reasons I switched to ** after almost 20 years at another well known (bigger) bank, was the "Live Free" checking, no fee's, no minumum balance, nothing. ...At least that's what I was told. Here are a few things wrong with MidFirst Bank that I have yet to find a resolution for.-Issues processing paper checks quickly and easily (I have ZERO issues depositing and cashing checks worth THOUSANDS of dollars at my other bank -Overdraft fee's. I was told by a banker who helped me setup my account that this indeed would NOT happen. It did. Several times. (live free checking, no fee's and all that? fake).-Unacceptable mobile app experience. Aside from my available balances always being WAY behind what they actually are (this has burned me more than once), the mobile app has casued me to need to call support SEVERAL times just to see how much money I had in each account (recently I was far from my home late at night and all I needed was to view my balance to get gas so I could get home, and I could not. The ** rep on the phone admitted to the app having many issues.-I have had a lot of issues with vendors even taking my card. It literally just gets declined at certain places, and I have to use a different bank debit card.-I had several ** bank employees tell me over the phone (including my local branch manager, Ray) that I should probably go to a different bank, based on my specific banking needs.I don't need A+ perfect customer service, and I don't need sprawling lobbies with marble floors and fireplaces. I just need a bank that works for me, my business, and ultimately, my family. If you are in the Phoenix area, and are a freelance/contract worker, I HIGHLY recommend ***************** They never have any problems depositing or cashing all my checks, the available balances update immediately, and I have never had to call someone on the phone to get the app to work.

Horrible treatment of 6 year customer. when I signed up they said they will cover any external *** withdrawal charge. and they just recently changed that without any notification. They said they sent an email to the customers (they didn't or it went to spam or (no one reads eblast emails) I was not only charged $4 *** charge but also bank service fee of $3. last month I had some cash spending's and had to use ***s several times so my total money waste was huge!!!! ***** ON YOU Midfirst! I will post this review everywhere I can! I'm so mad! I'm closing my account with you forever! and I'll suggest to my friends who bank with you to do the same. "

I have dealt with this branch on a number of occasions, with less than satisfactory results. However, the most recent experience has been a nightmare! The bank will not respond to any solution to a problem of a lost check that they mailed by certified mail They refuse to stop payment on the check and issue a new payment. Totally unacceptable.

This bank has no idea what customer service is. They act like you are bothering them by calling to try get them to correct an issue. And don't even think about talking to a branch manager they are rude and just want to blame someone else. They do not care about their customers.

I completely agree with the other reviewer Adrienne. I was denied and I was not given any reason. I had given them all my personal information and then told to call a number because my account was denied. I have very good financial standings and the denial makes no sense. I would not waste my time on this bank as they could not offer any information as to why my account was closed. I spoke with an "Erica" at the bank but she could not tell me anything about why I was denied or the company other than it was a brand of MidFirst. I feel like this is a scheme to get personal information and I would not recommend even attempting the application. Very suspicious and weird. Terrible company. DO not recommend at all.

I tried to open joint high yield savings account through VioBank and after filling out their application, with lots of personal information, and submitting it. This is the response I received. Thank you for your interest in opening a new account. Unfortunately, we cannot process your application. For assistance, please contact us at xxx-xxx-9170. So I called the number and I was told my application was denied, but they could not provide me with details as to why it was denied. I can only assume the reason it was denied is because they open very few accounts, but they do collect lots of personal information which they can make use of. They are basically operating a semi legitimate phising scam. I'm contemplating contacting an attorney regarding this practice. My wife and I have minimal debt and credit scores over 750. There is no legitimate reason our application could be denied.

I like a bank that makes you feel like a person, not just an account number. I Bank where you feel like they actually care about your financial security and any problems you may have. That's why I have banked at the same bank since the 1970s. They have always treated me right. And I repay there them with my loyalty.
