I can't say enough positive comments about my recent experience at MidFirst Bank at 13240 North May Ave. Janice Cowley helped me open a new account. She was personable, efficient, and experienced. I left feeling like I'd made a new friend. BTW, There's a current promo for opening a new checking account; until 12/31/2024 get $300 when your account meets their qualifications.

I'm closing my account. In my over 15 years of banking with Midfirst Bank and this location specifically, I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior. I was waiting in line for half an hour while all but one teller were assisting the drive thru. The 2 managers were in their office, but didn't seem to care about the customers waiting in line. When it came to my turn they stated that I needed to wait for a manager due to my need. I sat for another half hour while the customers behind me and even new customers were serviced by a Manger in their office. When I asked if those people had an appointment they apologized and tried to assist me with a teller (the same one that stated that I would need to see a Manger for my request). When I finally started the process (an urgent international transfer) I was told that it was too late to do such transfers. If I was assisted in a timely fashion I would've been able to complete this transaction without issue. A response isn't needed, I've made up my mind.

My family has banked with Midfirst for years, I’ve always experienced great service up until this location Janice, informed me that I couldn’t open an account, because I had a balance, I knew that was not accurate. I reached out to the number she provided for them to tell me that I didn’t owe anything. A few weeks later I returned. She whispered something to the teller, prior to calling me back, she didn’t do that with any of the people except me. I provided her with documentation that was sent to from the number she provided me with, she told me she couldn’t open the account, even though my account was closed a month ago due to inactivity. I expressed my confusion on the matter and that I would be reaching out to upper management, all of a sudden she went to typing away and continued as I was reaching out to upper management. She was very rude and didn’t treat me the same as her white customers. I’ve never been treated so rudely before. If I never experienced exceptional service from this bank, I don’t think I would’ve said anything. I manage businesses for a living and I couldn’t imagine having someone that can’t deliver consistent service to all of her customers no matter the color of one’s skin, it’s not hard. I treated her with respect the entire time, but the way she was typing, I’m sure she was covering her negligence. I think she needs training on dealing with minority customers, interacting with twice was too much. No one deserves that treatment especially if they don’t owe you anything. Lastly, she didn’t want to attach the paid in full by customer to attach to everything she was typing once I told her I was reaching out to upper management. Shame on whoever hired her, very bad look for an otherwise exceptional company. She’s definitely not a good fit.

Do not come to this location if you expect the employees to actually know how to do their job. I waited 20 minutes in line just to be turned away being told they didn’t do that there when I very well knew that they did. After another 15 minute phone call with the corporate, they are emailing me a step-by-step instructions to hand to the cashier when I go back to, ask again. How embarrassing and pathetic is that that the people at the bank don’t even know what they can and can’t do. This happens every single month when I go into pay, I’m ready to refinance with a different bank with educated staff. The cashier that did not know her job also seemed to think it was funny and laughed at me as I walked out the door frustrated because of my wasted time and effort.

Well, it all started when I was about 14. I had money and no bank account. My parents banked there. So I opened an account. They have kept my minute amount of money over the years safe. It is a solid bank and the one off Western and 50th shows you how they handle overdraft fee. I still bank there.

I’ve been to the drive thru two times and have waited over 20 minutes both times. What in the world?? Completely ridiculous!! Do better!!

This particular bank is a disaster. The head manager woman Carrie is rude and always in a bad mood the times I have dealt with her. You can tell she hates her job by the way she treats the customers. My mom passed and we were visibly upset. This is where my mother always banked since she lived next door in long term care facility. Had to go in to speak about mom’s accounts after her death. The manager had no empathy for my situation and treated my sister and I like trash. I always wait a long time at this branch and get treated poorly by management. It is an absolute shame my mother banked here for so long. I hope she did not get the same treatment as my sister and I have received. Upper management should look into the issues.

Their mortgage department is absolutely the worst. I shopped around for a mortgage, but noticed that midfirst has a first time buyers program, which I inquired about. I got stuck with Begum Ahmadi and she couldn't have been less helpful. When I asked her about different down payment options she said she would just have to run it. I said I wanted to do a conventional loan, with down payment assistance. She said great! I'll do a preapproval... then after BEGGING Begum Ahmadi to call me back and contacting the branch and the general email, she finally gave me more information (AFTER SHE RAN MY CREDIT.) She explained that you can't do a conventional loan and assistance with Midfirst. Which is a midfirst decision! She is literally the worst banker I've ever met. And I have met alot of them

My father passed away in December and banked here for years. This bank has been a nightmare to get closure to the account. Multiple hoops and corporate blunders to receive closure 3 months later. Shame on you management.

Miss communication from employees!!!! My account was closed for no reason. I didn't have a charge off or anything. They mixed up my information and the account got close because of Information being put in wrong at the time of opening the account. Stupid reason to close an account.
