I’ve been banking with MidFirst since I was 15, and everything has always been fine - until these last couple of weeks. Shortly after making an online purchase, my husband realized the website he’d used wasn’t the company’s legitimate website and that he’d been scammed when he didn’t receive any confirmation correspondence for his order. He called immediately and spent almost an hour on the phone with a great rep, who looked at the website with him, went over the purchase, and agreed that it was a scam. It was sent up the chain to be approved for cancelation and reimbursement. When we called back last week, we were told that a “manager” had deemed it a legitimate purchase and that we wouldn’t be getting our money back. When asked how to appeal this decision, we were instructed to send in any confirmation texts or emails we’d received regarding the purchase. We explained that we didn’t get anything like that, which is how we realized it was a scam in the first place and called to try and get it fixed. They didn’t really seem to know or care how to help us. We submitted a message asking for help through the bank’s President Contact page, and my husband received a phone call today essentially accusing him of lying about the purchase being fraudulent. He was placed on hold for a manager, but a different representative picked up the line who had absolutely no clue what was going on. She didn’t identify herself as a manager or act as though he had been transferred to her specifically. When my husband said he was waiting to speak with a manager, she asked if there was anything she could do to help. When he said no, he’d rather speak with a manager or other supervisor, she disconnected the call.Just unexpectedly disrespectful behavior from a bank that I’ve spent the last 17 years recommending to everyone I know. We’ll be closing our accounts.

MidFirst Bank and its subsidiary Midland Mortgage is the worse company one can have to deal with your mortgage. They are unresponsive, irresponsible, rude, unprofessional, unwilling to help, money-centric, non-customer-focused, and have poor credibility to handle issues beyond taking payments. Their customer service department is a sad resemblance to a professional! They do not help at all, and they are unwilling to take responsibility for the matters that affect one case as a customer! When my last lender sold my account to this company, I was disappointed and disrespected on the first call. Now that I’m trying to sell my property, their irresponsibility in handling my case has made it almost impossible to proceed with the sale! Do not deal with this bank at all! They do not consider not even that I’m a service member serving our country, nor do they have a sense of urgency for anything!
