Still found what I needed, but then had to find someone to unlock the cabinet to get what I needed. wonder if we the people start charging these companies for our lost time and wages... What could've been a 5-10 minute trip took over a half hour. Still the store is great.”
“It's a good hardware store. I snuck in 8 minutes before closing to get 2 items. The staff was nice but you could tell they weren't happy with my 7:52pm arrival time. In all fairness to them I would be perturbed too. So, I hold nothing against there lack of enthusiasm. Westlake Ace in general has higher prices than a big box store but the knowledge of the crew sets them apart. I will come back just not at closing time. Footnote. Unlike some other places they always have what I need in stock. No day trips to other stores around the city when you visit this place.”

One time I went to buy some Padauk wood for a cutting board project. As I walked to the checkout with my huge 6'x8"x2" rough board, I noticed a pocket knife blank that you make your own scales for. I grabbed that too and headed to the checkout. The checkout guy said "wow, that's a lot of wood for a little knife". I said "well, I screw up a lot" :) They are nice fun people there.”

“This is the place for all of your rigging needs. They really are a one stop shop. They carry a full line of wire rope, chain, & nylon slings along with all the hardware to accompany it. Any time I have any needs this is the place that I go. The staff is always helpful and they are extremely knowledgeable on the products that they distribute. They are locally owned and operated which is another reason I like to buy here.”

“This review is for a store associate by the name of Haffiz whose positive attitude and determination saved me an additional trip. I came in after seeing online that this location had 4 gang wall plates in the color white in stock (36 to be exact).
When I got there however, none could be found so I asked the front desk and and they sent Mr. Haffiz over. After searching a bit, I was ready to peacefully conceed defeat but Haffiz kept saying "don't give up," as our eyes searched the expansive stacks of inventory. Just as I was expressing my gratitude and he his apologies for my inconvenience he finds the exact item I need; hidden due to the box being turned, obscuring the item/SKU #.
I thanked him perfusely as he truly went above and beyond never giving up even when I did. I AM so grateful and hope management reads this and gives him proper recognition because it's very clear that Mr. Haffiz is one of those special people that truly cares..and it shows. Thank you again?❤.”

“Best place to buy just about anything and everything for your home or rental property. Everyone there is willing to help and go the extra mile no matter what it is. The young lady behind the counter did the impossible and dug up a receipt that I had given up on finding myself. She went back almost 60 days and found a cash receipt for me. Great effort and diligence because there was no CC or debit card numbers to use a computer to search. She did it without being put out over it. I really appreciate everyone there. Just great all around people.”

“I get my hay here for my goats it it would be 5 stars but for the fact that every time I get hay here they toss it all around in the gravel and it leaves a pile in my truck bed and all mixed in my hay that I’m trying to feed my goats. It’s so much gravel”
