My parents bought 4 plots out here in 1965, when the place was just getting started. They paid about $100 a plot. If you want one today, it is just under $1200. You have to pay for opening and closing, too. Lots of history in this quiet, unassuming cemetery.

We came to Memorial Park Cemetery for Memorial Day. Today was a beautiful day to come to! There were flowers all over the place in vases or flat on the grave. We found five of our relatives here and couldn't find another one. Thank goodness the office was open. Here all the graves lay flat on the ground so it makes it harder to see the names. The office personnel was very nice and helpful and all though they didn't have the last name we gave him on record, we still appreciated the help.

We came to the cemetery for Memorial Day. The gravestones here all have to lie flat on the ground so it makes it harder to find the names of our loved ones. My husband said it makes it easier to mow over them. They did put up flags for all the military graves and people have filled the whole cemetery with beautiful flowers. The cemetery has a building by the office where services can be held and your loved ones can even be buried in the walls. There's statues, bridges and other outdoor works of art scattered around the cemetery. Today was filled with the perfect weather to come out and walk about looking at stones. My husband said they usually put out vases for Memorial Day but for the last couple of years they haven't. We found five of our family members but was looking all over for the 6th person. The office was open today so we went in and asked where his resting place was. The man didn't have him on record so we left. One of our family members called and said that he IS buried here. We was wondering if the guy from the office got the spelling wrong. We looked more in the area where we thought he was buried, still couldn't find him so went ahead and left to go to the next cemetery. This is a nice clean cemetery and I love that they have an office that's open Mon-Fri. I would just like to be buried where the headstones can stand upright.
