this was one of the worst experience of my life regarding my dog. took her. in because she would cry out in pain and I didn't know where it was coming from. she is a 9 lb chihuahua 7 yrrs old. they said it was bad teeth with a back molar infected. the whole bill was going to e over $1000 to pull some front teeth and pull molar. this visit was $75 for nothing. no antibiotics or pain pills. the next day I called another vet south of. Norman and they gave a good physical and found a bruised vertebrae in her neck from jumping. they gave me pain pills, and steroids and only charged $44 total including meds. her teeth are bad bit not like you people said. this. clinic is a designer clinic and only care about the money.

We brought our dog for physical therapy. They are one of the few that does acupuncture, laser and water therapy. They were kind and always explaining what was going on. We drive 2 hours to get here and it was well worth the time. Our dog has recovered well.

Update as of 6/8/23: -- I have been spoken to by the head manager, whom addressed and apologized for the failures in care for my dog at all parts of this process, and noted staff involved with my dogs' care will be consulted and reeducated on correct procedure regarding this. I was advised that charges regarding staples would be refunded. I was also made aware that managers were aware of our situation, but chose not to consult us after t our dogs' surgery for reasons unknown, and an investigation of this conduct would take place. I applaud the clear communication of what direct action will be taken to prevent this from happening to my own or anyone else's animals in the future. -- Dr Beverly (not my dog's surgeon) contacted me to formally apologize for this situation and the conduct of management and general staff in this situation, and reaffirmed that costs of suture repair both at this clinic and at our initial emergency clinic visit will be taken care of. I applaud this integrity to management of a bad situation. -- My last contact was from our surgeon herself. She answered as though I had questions to ask her - so I presented some difficult questions and received excuses and half-answers to important topics. When frankly asked "what can we do to prevent this from ever occurring again?" I was met with a 5+ second pause, followed by statements that nothing can be done to stop surgical complications (which was then followed by justifying statements that she has a less-than 1% dehiscence rate on sutures). When frankly asked why it was chosen not to apply staples to the last remaining suture site after a large portion of the other sites had failed, I was met with the answer that she did not want to bring attention to this site because it was not irritated (which instead lead to another complication that most likely could have been prevented based on the history of previous complications), and lastly I asked the reason for lack of communication from her team throughout the process of this procedure and was met with a valid statement that an emergency surgery came it that was prioritized over my dog - but was then equally met by an unhelpful excuse that she had not had lunch this day and that she was not aware of what her supporting staff did while she was in surgery. Our 6 minute phone call ended with my genuine statement that hopefully my dog doesn't develop an infection due to repeated repairs of her suture sites - and I was met with a passive aggressive statement that if she was currently on antibiotics she will not develop an infection. At no point in time during this phone conversation did this surgeon apologize to me for her or her staff's conduct - and while I applaud the handling of this situation today by other managers, this lack of acceptance for wrongs dealt and inability to take responsibility has left a lasting bad impression on our view of continuing care with this clinic.

Have been taking our fur babies to Rose Rock since it was Hemphill Vet Clinic. The Doctors and support staff are all first rate! Always ready to help and great care! They always followup after our visits just to make sure everything is OK. Dr Devine is especially wonderful and knows all of our puppies by name and personality!! You know you're in the right place when the front desk staff greets you by name when you walk in the door. We have too many stories over the years of the wonderful things they have done for both us and our pets. Keep up the great work!!!

TLDR; prices are inflated and the care you can get at other places is not only cheaper but better. Do yourself a favor and go to another vet or pet resort. My complaint isn't with the vets themselves, Dr. Devine was always a pleasure to work with, but the practice itself. Rose Rock price gouges at every turn. I can easily save a couple of hundred dollars just by going up the road to Scroggins Animal Hospital in Moore just for a routine visit. The staff working the front desk at Rose Rock will make you question why you trust your pets in their care with how rude and awful they treat you. Definitely don't use their boarding services. I tried taking my cats in today and they tried claiming it was "peak season" even though spring break is already over and wanted to charge me 3x's the price I was expecting. They conveniently waited until I brought my cats in to tell me that this was going to happen. I assume they thought I'd be in enough of a bind that I wouldn't walk out. I had slowly been transferring my animals to another vet but this incident has pushed me to switching all of them immediately to Scroggins. The only reason I stayed as long as I did was due to Dr. Devine being so nice but even her nice personality can't make up for the price gouging and rudeness of the rest of the facility.

I like the clinic, it's very clean and they take good care of my dog. My only gripe is that the wait time for appointment intake is too long, and EVERY time I call I immediately get put on hold.

It's officially been a week since we took our snake in due to lack of eating difficulties shedding and horrible eye caps and I'm happy to say he is doing amazing! He has eating 4 mice since then has a completely healthy shed and his eyes are completely cleared up. Could not be happier with the service. This vet has magic hands or something!

I was out of my prescription dog food and my vet couldn't get it in in time before I ran out. They gave me a written subscription to go somewhere else to find it. I went to Petsmart and they were out. Although online they said they had it and I just had to give them my written prescription. When I got there they were out. So I went to Rose rock veterinary Hospital. They had plenty of it. But refused to sell it to me because I did not have a patient client relationship with them. I do not understand how that's a different than in Petsmart but I realize that they just don't want to sell anything to the general public. Really sad. Because I had a prescription. Would not recommend them. They would not go out of their way to help a dog.

I think they really need to expand their hiring process to all people. Both of my daughters applied here within the span of one to two years. One of them has a college degree and ample experience, my other daughter is a high school graduate attending college and both loves animals, and took wonderful care of our pets & neighbors pets back in NY! This is not a rant but an observation that they truly need to expand their employment opportunities to people of color because their entire staff does not reflect that, and I'm sure my two daughters who are people of color are not the only ones who applied and were denied an opportunity to work there. But rejection is certainly Gods protection I tell my daughters all the time. Better is coming.

My first encounter with this vet was when I moved to Norman 7 years ago. My aging Dachshund was not doing well and after a few attempts at home remedies, I knew it was time for a trip to the vet. I took him in to Rose Rock and remember the vet we saw just being so incredibly kind during a really hard time for me. She gave me options on what we could do for his care and at the end, in the most gentle way possible, she also told me that it might be time to consider his age and quality of life. Of course this was hard to hear and think about (especially since this doggo was my childhood pet) but I appreciated her honesty and the gentleness with which she gave me my options. After trying a medication and acupuncture, I had to make the difficult decision to euthanize my sweet pup. The staff at the vet were SO kind. I remember calling to make the appointment and the receptionist made sure to tell me that my family was welcome to come and that I could schedule it for the last appointment to give me as much time with his as possible. My entire family went into the room and the staff gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye to our sweet pup. The were so accommodating and kind, I can't thank them enough. They let us go out the side door to leave and a month later I got a card in the mail signed by all of the vets and techs. It meant the world!! Fast forward 4 years and I brought my new pup in when he hurt himself at the age of about 6 months. I was a mess (having a little bit of PTSD from my last visit) and walked to the reception counter and the receptionist recognized me from before and asked how I was doing. She asked what my new dog's name was and even called my old dog by name too. I hadn't been there in four years but she knew who I was. That made me feel so safe in taking my dog here. They took great care of him and never make me feel bad for asking a ton of questions. While they are a little bit in the pricey side, I really appreciate that they give you options, always give you a quote before they work on your pet, and never push or pressure you into making a specific decision. They are kind, caring professionals who make pet owners feel at ease.

I don't even know where to start with this review. I have been using Rose Rock Vet for years and have always thought they were expensive but stayed with them out of loyalty. After my most recent experience however we moved our pets to a different vet and will not be back. To make a long story short my cat became ill Monday morning. I called the vet and was told to bring him in. I was charged an emergency vet fee despite the fact that this was during normal business hours and their staff was present. I was also told that I could not accompany my cat to the back to be examined without any explanation as to why other than it was the vet's preference. My cat had vomit all over him. I was told that the tech would try to clean him. She did not. It was recommended that I pay for a tick panel that would would come back in 3-5 days. I was not told that one of the tests were for a disease that must be treated immediately or is likely fatal. This occurred on Monday and it is now Friday and still no results however they did charge me for the test. I attempted to reach the treating vet numerous times throughout the day and was continually told she was at lunch--this was around 1100, 1200, and 1400. This is the longest lunch break I have ever heard of. Thankfully I do not believe that my cat has tick disease as he is feeling better since yesterday however I remain very disappointed by the care we received and will never return to this clinic.

Rose Rock always does a great job. I have been taking my dogs there for years for Veterinary needs. This was the first time that I used them to Groom my babies and they did a great job for a reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Wonderful place. Beverages in the waiting area. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. The vet was wonderful and very thorough. I would definitely bring my pet back here. They got me in quick in an emergency.
