““Magnificent Device! DO NOT consider using real ice, or ice packs after partial or full knee replacement, you need a cuff circulating cold water around all sides of your knee. The Active Ice machine is the perfect unit for swelling control. The cuff fits comfortably providing the perfect temperature without fear of freezing your skin so long as you separate the cuff with an ace bandage, pajama bottom or thin workout pant. I slept with it and let it automatically turn on and off for about 20 hours per day for my first two post-op days. I then used it many times throughout the following week until the swelling resolved.
