We have been taking our 3 younger cats to this vet for several years now, and have always received excellent care from Dr. Emmert and his staff. One of our cats recently had to have surgery here and everyone at the clinic was extremely professional and caring, answering all questions that we had throughout the process. Our cat is now recovered and we are very grateful for this clinic and the care that we have received.

They charged me $69 for having my dogs nails clipped. 25 for the service and $44 for the tech fee. Nail clipping is a service so this is double billing. The fee was 20 for the last few years. Not going back because I do not appreciate being taken advantage of. Not impressed, also my dog bled all over my floor when we got home. I had to stop the bleeding with corn starch. But I paid premium price.

I’m soo grateful for dr Emmett and Dr weaver for the care and kindness we’ve received from them after adopting a sweet 3 year old dog. Every appt is less than 1 hour, they’re fast, efficient and kind. They explain everything and go over pricing and there’s no hidden fees. They are super reasonably priced. Our dog has had cherry eye surgery, been spayed, teeth cleaned and has had deep ear cleaning. The vets here are super sweet and kind when explaining everything. I love the fact that I can do a dog drop off for a scheduled appt before her grooming appt. I love getting texts with follow up care after surgery. They follow up closely via texts the next day with regards to surgical care and I can reply back with texts and pics. The groomer Kat is amazing too. She’s soo sweet and fast. We have a Maltese mix that needs frequent grooming and she gets the teddy bear look and she looks amazing each time. Our dog is done by 2.5 hours. Kat keeps our dog in tip too shape and our dog comes out with with all her face hair perfectly groomed and trim soo that she can see. It’s not like other places where there’s tons of dogs in kennels waiting their turn. Kat is fast and efficient. Plus, I can schedule my dogs vet appt prior to her grooming appt as to save time. Kat will always ask what type of hair cut my dog would like and she’ll text me if she has any questions about my preference. This place is a total gem

I have two Havanese. Lucy loves everyone; Desi only likes me. He's fought me hard every time he suspected he was going to the groomer. One time he tripped me in a frenzy and I ended up in the ER. When we switched to Cat at McGee Street, things changed. Today he wagged his tail and went right in!! Thank you Cat! Also, their appointment was at 11 am. At 2:00, I received the text they were ready! Maybe he likes it because Cat doesn't ask them to come in at 8 and pick up at 4 during early rush hour? They look cute BTW:)

Dr. Weaver and the whole team is fantastic! They sweet-talked and cooed at my German Shepherd like she was an angel, even though she was a super rude drama llama. We were referred to McGee Street by a local trainer after I shared a bad experience we had at another local clinic.I appreciate that Dr. Weaver took his time time building rapport with our dog and examining her on our first visit. He confirmed that she would need a small surgery, and we scheduled a time to come back for that. After surgery later that week, Dr. Weaver came out and told me how it went, what he found, and answered all my questions. He had discharge instructions and medications ready for her, and I noticed they even clipped her toenails! We are one week post-op today, and her incision is healing BEAUTIFULLY. There are no lumps, folds or bulges. The hardest part has been following the instructions and not letting her run or jump.Pricing is extremely reasonable, and they don’t try to sell you services you don’t want or need. You are quoted pricing ahead of time, and they don’t try to sneak other charges in.I am glad we made the switch to start seeing Dr. Weaver!

We have used this clinic for our 3 dogs for the past 2 years. The vet himself was always good, helpful, and friendly. However, the front desk experience is rarely smooth. It takes several minutes to check in, check out, etc. even when we have been there many times prior and no information had changed. We began using only their boarding services at some point. And that was a good experience 5 or 6 times over the past 2 years -- until now. Their rates increased by 30%, and when we picked up our dogs after a 5-night stay, they smelled bad, their blanket was wet with urine, and they seemed extra glad to be home. These are all things that have never happened after prior visits. Given the slow and inefficient reception desk, and now the seemingly poor boarding experience for the dogs, we will be finding a different spot to board our dogs when we have to leave town.

Worst vet in Norman!!! Took my dog in and left him overnight. Next day he was missing is front teeth trying to chew through the cannel. I have never heard that!!!! Not to mention over $600. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone!!!

Changing review….Steroids and antibiotics are not the answer for a cat with FIV who has springtime/summer allergies.Wouldn’t give antihistamine, instead gave $100 in steroids and antibiotic shots.I won’t return.

Worst Vet I have ever encountered. I have a sweet girl that is terrified of getting her nails trimmed. After paying 90.00 to see the vet and discussing with the groomer the situation we decided to try to have the groomer do the nail trim. I took my dog in with a cone to ensure the safety of everyone. I spoke with the groomer and we went over what was discussed with the doctor. They were to take my dog, put her on the table, attach the loop around her neck and pull her paw back away from her face to clip her nails. Instead, they took my dog back, the tech Carley threw her leash attached to her harness over the bar and when my dog started fighting because they were pulling her, she started screaming at my dog and jerking her more. I watched all of this as there is a glass window to the grooming area. I IMMEDIATLEY banged on the glass and told them to stop and bring my dog out. Carley was still screaming and jerking at her while getting her out of the door. When I said to Carley that she is terrified and there was no reason for her to treat my dog that way, she came at me and screamed "what did you say". I repeated what I said to her and she walked away. The groomer kept apologizing and telling me she kept telling Carley that she couldn't come at her face, which is what Carley did. After leaving I called back and asked for the office manager. I was placed on hold for more than 10 minutes, the phone kept ringing back. Finally I hung up and called back and was told that I could leave a message for them. I just received a call from Jennifer, who had the audacity to tell me when dealing with an aggressive dog they have the right to mistreat them. She asked me what I wanted other than to tell them I was upset, since they already know I'm upset and they don't really care. The vet obviously didn't feel my dog was aggressive or would not have suggested we go have the groomer cut her nails. Of course, anytime you are mistreating or jerking a dog around, they are going to respond in kind. My dog is on medication for a pinched nerve in her back. The office is aware of this since they just prescribed medication for this condition. I will not know if there is any damage to my girl until we get to see another vet. This behavior is unacceptable and this office is a disgrace to their profession. If you care about your fur babies, take them somewhere else!

I am a student at the university of Oklahoma and discovered this amazing vet clinic when I first got my dog three years ago. They are truly so sweet and caring to your animals. I always have a million questions and they are very patient and willing to answer each and everyone. Such a great practice. Very sad to leave it when I'm done at the university.

Absolutely wonderful first experience here this week! They were able to fit my baby hippo/canine Lola in last minute and took SUCH great care of her as she was in excruciating stomach pain. We really appreciated the above-and-beyond kindness of all of the staff and particularly Alyssa and Dr. Emmett who helped us so much in diagnosing & treating Lola's digestive issues. Very very highly recommend this practice!
