They put a hold on a deposit for no apparent reason, even the folks I talked with over the phone said they didn't know why . . . but none of them would help me in my situation. Caused me lots of grief, and so that pretty much told me first hand that they did not want my business any longer after having multiple accounts for 11 years. I closed all my accounts with them and found another bank.

Arvest has taken my check but refuses to deposit it into my account because “it’s too new”. So be wary, if you have an account you can’t use it for 30 days and they will not give you your money.

Hmmm, not sure what the problem could be here really. I've been banking here for at least 20 years and have never been treated anything other than like a King. Reading down the list of reviews I do see some legit complaints from folks but I also see just as many that simply appear to come from people who seem to think the world revolves around them and that the whole bank and its entire staff are there to serve them and only them exclusively. I guess i feel that "whiner activity" is what comprises a good part of the complaints against this Bank in general. Giv'em a chance. I did and have now enjoyed better than two decades of satisfaction.

They charge 7.50 to replace a debit card. They nickel and dime for everything.

Today was not the first time recently I have received poor customer service at this branch. I attempted to purchase a money order today and after waiting I was told their printer wasn’t working could I wait a few minutes for them to contact their support. I told her no I had already waited long enough. I then went to Homeland and purchased a money order. Homeland’s fee was substantially cheaper, their customer service was outstanding, and they didn’t ask me if I had an account with them or or ask for my ID. Come on Arvest a local grocery store provides better service than my bank!

Arvest has seen a really unfortunate decline since the pandemic. I opened an account in 2016 and really swore by them - the service I received when opening an account was great, and the Free Blue checking was perfect for someone just starting in the workforce. Once the pandemic hit, the lobby closed, the hours were cut, and the staffing was reduced. That was in 2020. As far as I can tell, they've never bounced back - hours are now literally inaccessible to anyone working a 9-5, lobby remains closed (last time I went - may now be open, will update review is so), tellers always seem short-staffed, and the customer service is extremely hit or miss. Put my card in the ATM at closing and the machine ate my card - had to order a whole new one - and since the bank was closing, they wouldn't let me make a withdrawal to get by while my card was in the mail.Also tried to apply for a first-time loan through Arvest - they wouldn't even consider my application until I paid a $100 application fee, so I went elsewhere. Have been seriously considering closing my account here for a long time - maybe they'll bounce back, but I'm doubting it more and more.

Wouldn't deposit money in my account through ATM and the bank is only open when I'm working or sleeping

I am the owner of a private protective service arvest Bank has been the worst absolute most incompetent worst policy and worst ran by employees of any other bank I've ever been to in my entire life I am glad that I will be closing out my account with arvest and will never be opening up another account again along with five other fellow companies will also be pulling their business away from arvest due to their policies and incompetence

I have been doing my banking with Arvest for 10 years here in Norman. They are kind, courteous and extremely friendly.. the lines are usually not long and not much of a wait time

When I started banking with Arvest 18 years ago they were great but over the years their service has continued to deteriorate to the point where I was considering finding a new bank. Now they are closing not only the lobby (which is understandable considering covid-19) but they are closing the drive through at 4p.m. on fridays. What kind of bank is completely closed after 5p.m. on a Friday? Totally useless!
