Told us the full treatment with IV antibiotics and IV fluids was $700-$1000. Pick up dog three days later for $675 and am told by the VET that they didn’t give IV due to money concerns. This place is an absolute joke. Southside vet in south OKC doesn’t rip people off.

Made app for 4pm wasn’t seen until 5pm. While I was waiting saw a distraught crying couple bring in their dog who was having trouble breathing. The dog was taken back right away but the vet delivered the news to the couple in the full lobby with no privacy on the condition of their dog . The vet had no empathy or respect for the couple and complained about how busy of a day she had. She told them to come back later at 6 “or something” when everything died down at clinic. Unfortunately I had this same vet for my cat and she came in the exam room with the same apathetic attitude and did not even introduce herself and her role and clarify exactly what vaccines she would be giving. ( I didn’t find out until check out that they received an additional vaccine that was not discussed at the front desk or in the exam room). The vet decided to both give the shot AND hold my cat at the same time while he was anxiously moving around and falling off the table. I asked her if she needed help holding him or if she needed another employee to come assist her and she said “oh no I’ve been doing this for years.” I’ve routinely taken my cats to the vet every year since they were kittens and never witnessed anyone give a vaccine like this. After she gave the vaccine she said there could be an adverse reaction that was rare which defeats the whole purpose of consenting to the vaccine since she already gave it. My cat is now currently limping in the same leg he was given his vaccine and the clinic did not even have the decency to schedule him in when I called concerned about his condition. They said they would talk to the vet and call me back and I didn’t get a phone call until 5 hours later that day after I had already took him to the emergency vet. That was the first and last time I will ever come here and if you care for your pets I wouldn’t bring them here either.

We have had four dogs over a 28 year period. Dr Darrow is the only vet we ever used. When we moved from the Tuttle/Newcastle area to Edmond we still took the time to drive to Newcastle Animal Hospital because we trusted our fur babies with Dr Darrow! She’s one of the best vets around and absolutely one of the best bulldog vets in Oklahoma. I can’t say enough good things about her knowledge, compassion and the way she communicates with her clients. We have just become empty nesters due losing our bulldog that lived 13 long years when the average is 10 and our 17 year old schnauzer!! I credit the care and treatment we received from Dr Darrow over the years that gave our dogs a long and healthy life span..

Dr. Darrow has been attentive, diligent, and thoughtful while diagnosing my dog. She has been more than fair with her billing. This doctor does not jump to conclusions, over medicate, or do unnecessary surgery, and is rational with her approach to treatment. I highly recommend this clinic.

This place came highly recommended by some friends. I took my dog in and he had some surgery he is doing well and they were very nice here. I thought it was a little pricey for what he had done but aren't all vet's? Anyways I'd recommend this place.

My friend had to euthanize her dog short notice due to severe rapid decline and this clinic took them in when they had no actual appointments available, on a Saturday morning!They went above and beyond to help out! Everyone was kind and helpful. The front desk is the best I've ever seen! Kudos to Newcastle animal hospital. The estimate of bill given on the phone was within range of the actual cost. Thank you so much and God bless you!

This is a very effective and affordable animal hospital. Dr. Darrow saved our yorkie's life. I know I would have paid a lot more at old hospital and wouldn't have even got my pet looked at for several days.

Very impressive. Our first time . Very impressed. And my German Shepherd was on his best behavior. It was his first time there. They were very persistent and patient. They got the job done. And My Dog will be happy to come back and visit again. LOL Happy Day!
