As many other reviews point out, shortly after we moved in our AC unit began to drip onto the floor in the hallways, which otherwise wouldn't be much of a problem except 90% of the apartment is carpet, which includes the hallways. When we went to the office to let them know, maintenance gave us a bucket to catch the water until they could send somebody else to come fix it; I guess the maintenance on site isn't able to fix AC units themselves. After a week, we finally have someone check it out, and it was fixed for about a month when it began to leak again. We lived here for about 3 years, and after the third time of the AC leaking, we just stopped going to the office about it. At least we still had the bucket.
And that's just when the AC did work. One summer it went out, and when we went to the office about it, maintenance gave us a window unit. "Only until Monday," they said, since it was a Friday and the AC repair company I guess doesn't work on weekends. Except the window unit was in there for much longer than just that weekend. The unit itself had to be held with a large piece of plywood with a conveniently window unit sized hole cut out of it (I guess this is a common issue) which looked God awful since it could easily be seen from the street. We had the unit for about 3-4 weeks before I eventually went to the office to ask for an update, after it began to rain, and the plywood did absolutely nothing to keep the water out. Someone came a few days later to fix the AC, but it still took much longer than what we were told.
We went to the office one other occasion to voice our concerns about potential mold, and the main lady at the office (who I think is the actual woman in charge, as I believe the other women we saw through those three years were just training to be able to manage other Apartments) brushed away our concerns. You'll get texts sent from the landlord, which is nice in the case of having to shut off the water, which they seem to do at least once a month, but not so nice when cars are broken into and their "advice" is just to make sure your cars/trucks are locked at night, no real solution, but they will advise you to call the police when children ding-dong-ditch you. Somehow the cops should spend more time on childish pranks than cars being broken into. They don't even want kids drawing with chalk on the sidewalk.
Heaven forbid you have anything stolen from your breezeway; Someone had their bike stolen during the daytime and the landlord more or less shrugged her shoulders and said, "Oh well." Clothes occasionally stolen from the laundry room so expect texts about that. Speaking off, you'd save more money just going to the laundromat; the prices for each of those tiny washers will burn a hole in your pocket in no time. Seriously, one laundry basket has to be fit into 3 washer and 2 dryers, washers cost $1.75 each and the dryers $1.50 each, and you can't overfill them or else they risk breaking.
Oh, and don't assume the apartments look anything like the pictures on their website; there's reasonable differences like the color of the cabinets, and then there's flat-out false advertising. We didn't even get to tour the apartment before they had us sign the lease, which should have been the first red flag, but when it's your first ever apartment you don't think anything of it.
There seems to be no communication in the office anyhow; when I went in to let them know I wasn't going to renew our lease, the lady I talked to (not the main lady, I believe this young lady was in training) she told us we didn't have to bring a written notice and that she'd backdate it for the 1st since I couldn't tell her until the 3rd. I thought I was in the clear, until I'm a week into living in my new home and get a text asking if we were going to renew our lease here. When I called to let her know I already spoke to

Overprice and the nasty. People Break into your car and you have to listen to loud music and loud neighbors all night long not worth the asking price that they’re charging

My car got broken into twice living there. After having the glass repaired on my car twice I decided it was time to go.

This place is pretty good I would definitely give it a chance if I were you when I was first looking at this apartment complex to move in looking at a lot of the reviews and the pictures especially of like the dumpsters being overflowed it was a little bit worrisome to me but since I've moved in I have not noticed anything bad dumpsters are never overflowed they seem to genuinely take care of the place. Small little things that a lot of other apartment complexes wouldn't even take care of they do such as they replace the concrete underneath where the dumpster lies because it was a little bit messed up they also hired a whole team of contractors to trim the trees behind all the apartment complexes they seem to actually pay attention and maintenance is usually not going to take forever to get something done. They keep the pool clean they take care of what needs to be done it's definitely night and Day from the last place I lived at.

Leasing agent was very kind when I came in this week about looking into the apartments there. She took her time to help me with options I can do to get approved. It's a very nice place. the pool is nice and clean. I'll be really happy If I do get approved here.

So far we have had a pretty good experience. The staff are very nice. And seem to try to make everyone feel like they are heard and matter. I like that. They just installed a little doggy playset at the dog park it's pretty cute. Makes me wish I had a dog. Lol. The only negative thing was that our apartment wasn't ready when we moved in they still had some things to do. But in there defense the person who lived here before us destroyed the apartment. I got to see it before they fixed it up. And it was bad. Holes all in the walls. Doors ripped off. A giant square cut out to be some kind of window in the closet and a lot of other things. It was a big renovation, but our apartment price is fair. And that makes up for any negatives honestly. The area is perfect to the fire station is literally walking distance along with a park, elementary school, and the recycling center and Moore skate is right down the street. There is lots of places right around this area. If you don't have a car it would be easy to just get a job you could walk to.

I love my new apartment here. I have not found anything negative here. Management is very dependable, friendly and conscientious to answer questions I may have or any maintenance I need. A lot of people expect immediate service. I don’t! I look around at the size of this complex and know the light fixture that I turned in to be replaced, can wait. I’m not the only person living here. But to my surprise, everything was taken care of within 1-2 weeks of moving in. My grandsons love it here as well. So to all my new neighbors having issues, I would like to say, we can always move someplace else where they have a 10 person maintenance crew, but we will pay for it, big time. And we will still not get immediate response. Maintenance is a busy, busy department. Be patient, be happy and help your neighbors all you can.

THE WORST PLACE TO LIVE. IF YOU WANT HIDDENS FEES WHEN YOU MOVE OUT AND LATE CHARGES WITHHELD FROM YOU UNTIL 3 MONTHS DOWN THE ROAD THEN MOVE HERE!! not only is it not worth but this place has nothing to offer beside a dirty pool, small washers and dryers that you need 3 dollars to even do half a load, and kids who climb on cars. Wouldn't recommend this place to someone i didn't like.. save your money and look somewhere else, take it from someone who lived there for 2 years.

Every three weeks it seems like the hot water goes out or the laundry mat is out of order. It’s ridiculous. Plus, it would be nice if they would paint the walls inside these places.

I lived in southwinds from 1993 to 1997 and the manager evicted me and my dad because the water in the main bathroom was leaking and she didn’t like me or my dad I feel and after I got evicted I used to go see some people I knew who lived there and one day I was visiting a friend of mine and she saw me and she told me j couldn’t be on the grounds because I didn’t live there and I was evicted from my apartment and I had no right to be there and I told her I was visiting a friend but she didn’t care and told me if she sees me on the grounds she was going to get me arrested for coming on private area
