Terrible customer service!!! I've been a customer with this dealership for years. Never failed to make the payments on any of the three cars I've gotten from them and obviously continued to give them my business. They lie to you or omit the truth about what's going on with the cars they sell.
My most recent experience with them has been one from HELL!!! I bought a car with them back in December of 2023, I had to take it back within the week because there was something wrong with the oxygen sensor. Of course, since I'd only had the car for less than a week, and it was a minor fix, they did it for free. In May of 2024 my car started having a problem where it wouldn't register it was in park when it in fact was, which would cause it not to start until it reset itself. I called Joe Cooper Easy Credit Auto to see if there was any way they could get me in... They gave me a timeframe that was more than a month out. Okay, cool, so I decide to take it to my trustworthy auto shop Southside Garage, they tried several different things before landing on the transmission... Upon further investigation of said transmission, they determined that there was RUST in it and it looked like it had been in there for quite some time, which was very strange because I'd only had the car for six months and none of which did we have flooding in.. I called Joe Cooper Easy Credit Auto again and asked to speak with the lovely man that sold me the POS. His words to me were there's nothing he can do for me except connect me to the repair shop department to see if it'd be something they could cover. Upon transferring me to the repair department, one of those lovely employees told me there was nothing they could do outside of getting in their shop to take a "look" at it and quoting me a price, since it was beyond my 3,000 mile warranty, even though it was obvious they sold me a POS.. I said okay and asked when they'd be able to do so. I was then given another month- two month timeframe. So, because I already felt like Joe Cooper Easy Credit Auto was untrustworthy and inconsiderate, I decided to let the auto shop that the car was already at do the repair, seeing as though they understood the urgency. That repair is costing me $3,000, on top of having to continue paying Joe Cooper for the car loan, which I understand, because at the end of the day it's still my responsibility. I've managed to continue paying Joe Cooper Easy Credit Auto, while also paying on the transmission with the auto shop, never late always on time, and always the full amount, until this last due date 8/31/24. I was $131 behind and I have every intention on paying it on 9/12/24.. 12 days after the due date. I called Joe Cooper Easy Credit Auto to ensure them of that, because after all, I'M INVESTING $3,000 DOLLARS IN A TRANSMISSION ON A POS THEY SOLD ME!! Late is late, so, I understand that, but I've been a model customer in terms of car payments and continuing to purchase with them, so you'd think they show a bit of grace because after all I'm only in this situation because of their deceitfulness, right? WRONG!!! I was told that my car could possibly be repossessed before the 9/12/24 and the only way to ensure that it wasn't was to make the payment.. Now, I understand that at the end of the day this is a business, but you'd think there'd be a little compassion shown.. but sadly, that's not what Joe Cooper Easy Credit Auto is about..
Moral of the story, if at all possible, find another dealership to give your business to. I get that sometimes life doesn't give us options, so if that's your predicament, say a prayer and hope you luck out.
