Because it's really not a mall anymore

All my favorite stores have left. They either were run out of business by Amazon, or the lease is too high to remain open at the mall. Pardon me, it's not a mall anymore.

The mall is hot, do they not turn on the AC? You can enjoy your meal because it’s so hot. Sweating while having my lunch is not something I enjoy.
Even the restrooms are hot!

I was disappointed to see all the store closures. I miss the Central Mall from the 1990's - early 2000's, which was a vibrant place. It started going downhill in the 2010's when they became less welcoming to teens. Mall cops would harass them back then. The only thing going for it now is the restaurants. Stir Fry 88 and La Grand Cantina have delicious food. That is my only reason for going to the mall these days.

Despite whispers of a multimillion-dollar renovation project, the reality is starkly different. The barren halls and empty storefronts tell a tale of abandonment and broken promises. It's as if the funds earmarked for rejuvenation vanished into thin air, leaving behind nothing but disappointment and decay.
Once, this area bustled with historic charm, but the city's decision to sacrifice multiple blocks of irreplaceable heritage for this mall now feels like a regrettable misstep. What was once envisioned as a beacon of economic prosperity now stands as a cautionary tale. The Lawton Central Mall serves as a stark reminder of the importance of thoughtful urban planning and the preservation of historical heritage. As other areas thrive and evolve with the times, this mall remains frozen in a bygone era, a sad testament to what could have been.

Incredible that they allowed 12 blocks of downtown Lawton to be bulldozed for this now dead mall.
