Don't rent from this self storage. The manager let's a guy named lil Chris live in bldg C. He steals from the other units by crawling over the fire wall and using his phone to record videos so he can look and see what he wants before he takes it.

I have used American storage for many years. I come back and will always come back because of Gene and the prices. He takes the time and goes above and beyond to help people. The prices are some of the best around. If a person is smart, this is where they'd go!

Some units have huge gaps and leak badly. THOUSANDS and MORE worth of furniture & sentimental things ruined by MOLD in 2 months. Owner saw it didn't care. Just wanted more moneyI moved on a 110° day with no moisture in air. My house before moving was spot less and dry. I have photos. None of my stuff was wet or like that when I moved it in. I got told, we'll you must have moved on a rainy day??? No it was 110 degrees I can prove that. It rained a week or so later and there's HOLES in the bottom and top of the unit.I removed card from auto-pay to get my stuff out as quickly as possible. In 8-9 months paid almost $1000 for most of my belongings to get ruined. I've asked for the contract and have receipts and photos. I will consult with am attorney to see if there is a way to seek compensation for my items. Brand new mattresses bought 2 months prior, sectional bought 3 months prior, and more. Anything cloth or material got ruined and was COVERED IN MOLD! I have photos, receipts, witnesses I brought with me and MORE.

My home burned and my friend rented a storage unit from Gene Sullivan at American mini storage in Lawton for my salvaged belongings. My friend said that he was very impressed with how professional Gene was from start to finish. We can't think of ANYTHING he could have done better. You will not find a better experience on a mini storage than this place. Customer service like Gene provides is really unheard of in a military town where businesses do not rely on repeat business.
