The staff at South County Animal Clinic were all very kind and helpful. It was my dog's first time in the clinic and she was a little skeddish, but they took their time to make sure she was comfortable before examining her - it meant a lot! Prices were very reasonable as well. I appreciated the estimate given over the phone while I was making the appointment. It took a lot of stress off knowing what the bill look like before I made the appointment.
Overall, a really fantastic experience. Thank you to everyone who helped to get Oakley healthy again!

I brought my senior cat in for an exam with questions about what the Dr’s thoughts were on where he “might “ be on the end of life. Bottom line it might be called an end of life evaluation. He no longer could jump on the bed but still had a healthy appetite & quality of life. He had some changes with routines & we had made adjustments accordingly. Sinbad is his name & like most cats was not happy to be at the vets. I had also brought my chi weenie in for her exam & shots. I spoke to the tech who was very nice & told her my concerns about Sinbad. She left the room to confer with Dr. Gregg & quickly returned with a recommended plan from the Dr. That was not very professional to list a plan when you haven’t even laid eyes on my cat. That made us a “sell”. I understand some of the items listed were for possible diagnosis but couldn’t you use your skills by performing the exam first? When Dr Gregg entered the room Sinbad was unhappy. I had the top of his carrier open and was scratching his head the way he loves it. Dr Gregg NEVER had him out of his carrier. NEVER took the time to see him stand, sit, walk, feel of his back, belly or looked in his ears. I am not certain that she even listened to his heart. Sinbad’s carrier gave him very little room to move around. She gave him his rabies shot while hunkered in his carrier. With every questioned it was answered with age or arthritis. The tech asked Dr Gregg if she even wanted to weigh the cat or not & she him/hawed until I spoke up and offered to take him out and do it. I did decide to opt in for the miraculous monthly shot for arthritis. Very, very disappointed at the level of service & respect given to Sinbad that day which was May 20th (Monday). Don’t know if side effects from the arthritis shot but that Friday evening out of nowhere Sinbad had no vision & was visibly suffering. He had not been in this state at all. Unfortunately Sinbad crossed the Rainbow Bridge Saturday morning. I just wish you had done your job. I’m not blaming you for his death in any way. I just expected more. I have always been pleased by the other Drs but I will not be returning to the clinic because of this. You did not do your job. Your reply only upsets me more. There was No Exam. Surely one would have to listen to the cats heart for any basis of diagnosis. If standing by his carrier & reaching in to give him his rabies shot & arthritis shot was the exam I stand corrected.

UPDATE-
I was called soon after this review and offered a refund for the microchip! ?
I have been coming here for the past year and up until recently have had no issues. I got my puppy neutered and originally had marked that I wanted them to microchip him during surgery. After leaving the clinic I changed my mind and called the clinic (15 minutes later) to cancel the service. The person at the front desk said she would have the service cancelled. I came in to pick up my dog and he was chipped?? I told them about the phone call and they were like "oh, sorry" and still made me pay for a service I did not want. Loved coming here but now going to look elsewhere for vet needs.

The office and clinical staff are friendly and make you and your pet feel welcome. The prices are reasonable, and the facility is clean. I love the online appointment availability as well. This is my second dog to take to South County Animal Clinic. I am a customer for life.

Staff at South County Animal Clinic are always pleasant and understanding. The building is clean and quiet, which is comfortable for nervous pets and nervous pet owners. They take good care of the pets they're helping and healing. I know that by bringing my pets here, they will get quality care.

Ranger only went in for a tech visit to get his flu shot. Unfortunately, this visit, he did not see Dr. Marcalf.Honestly, we love Hailee. Every time she steps out from behind the desk, gets to Ranger’s level and just loves on him. With scratches, hugs and kisses. It is so great to know that he is loved just as much at the vet as he is at home. And he just wiggles nose to tail when he sees her.Jacob is absolutely amazing as well.. he is patient, knowledgeable and friendly.Kara even popped out in to the hall to say hello to him. It’s absolutely amazing to walk in to a facility, having everyone know your pet, greet them, and to be excited about seeing your pet’s growth and progression. We love Southcounty!
