This was a very nice hotel, it looks like they have done a great job on modernizing and updating it. Rooms were clean and stocked with everything we need. The on site manager Rebecca was very nice and helpful. We ended up extending our stay because of weather and she was more than happy to help get extra linens and toiletries that we needed. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be staying here.

Let me tell you the night that me and my fiance stayed there they had to wait for a lady to get into the office so that we can pay when we used our credit card they charged us $150 which the deposit was never refunded there was no room service or any kind of service there was nowhere to get anything to drink to eat even the next morning we didn't see anybody anybody that worked there or even remotely had anything to do with the place. I feel like we were taking advantage of even some of the nicest motels or hotels there's at least vending machines. Yes we were taking advantage of

Clean, comfortable, and spacious room (we upgraded to an executive suite). The restaurant has really great bbq. We didn't use the pool,but it looked to be very clean, although on the small side for such a big place.

Lobby, pool, and room were extremely clean. Check in was fast and smooth. Beds are on the firm side but still comfortable. The night we stayed was quiet but there were only 7 or 8 cars in the parking lot when we woke up. So I can't say if you can here other guests or not. We did not here any road noise just a few faint car doors shutting which was no bother. Overall a clean place to get a good night sleep

Rooms were recently remodeled down to the flooring. Very clean room, comfortable beds, & AC worked great. Restaurant attached to motel was amazing. Hoped to stay again for family reunion, but they were already booked.

Lipstick on a pig. Waaaay way over priced for this quality...It is far from a Hilton or even a Holiday Inn, lol! Remodeled cheaply. Cheap itchy sheets, awful bed. Old dirty bathroom door unchanged, old unsafe keylock doors. Will still be poor quality even when locks are changed. THIN walls, creaky floor above me woke me up repeatedly. Narrow interior hallway and really small room made me feel packed in like sardines. It provided no noise barrier or feeling of privacy. Like a cheap apartment building from college days! I think the people who gave better reviews have stayed at some of the total old outdated dirty motels in town.Most accomodations on lake are more geared to the fishermen, hunters, casual outdoorsy family types. Area is coming up in status and needs better quality hotels too. This shows people want new modern hotel and will pay more for it in Grove. This place is missing the mark in quality and professionalism though at this price.Lady that actually stays there keeps light off at front desk area and hides behind it..in office aptartment? Have to ring for her and wait. She acts like it is a hassle to help. Bizarre second hand looking bullet proof or safety glass with slots at front desk. Like from a gas station or no-tell motel off a MLK blvd. in inner city, lol! Sooo tacky. Maybe a leftover from how bad this old motel was and who might still come here?Front desk lady made smart arse toned remark when I mentioned the bads night sleep. I was kept up late, and woke before dawn by other customers activity and creaky floors.She said, Well, other people have to get up to travel too. Overly defensive and clearly did not care or empathize.Maybe try, I am sorry to hear that. We will work at trying to fix the floors, etc.Some screws, and better than just average cosmetic decor fixes to this former run down old building would go a long way!Also already see signs that things are going to wear out soon from neglect and not deep cleaning.Did not even fill up soap dispenser in shower, cheaply made furniture showing marks, half dusted, bad air conditioner, carpet spots, etc. The place set off my allergies bad too. No telling what is behind the old walls.Grove does need a new higher quality hotel. Unfortunately this is not it. Hopefully the big nicer chains will see the need now. If they are getting away with charging this so people don't have to go to a Days Inn or old crowded Best Western as next best options, it is time for better!!Oh, and forget breakfast. Just some sweet junk food.The attached B.B.Q. restaurant run by another person is excellent. No complaints but they need more help like everybody these days!
