I have been there in about 6 years but all the staff were very helpful and we both enjoyed our time with you. Thank Bob

It's a cheap (relatively) campgrounds set out by a river in Oklahoma, it's kinda, how do I say, kitschy? I like it don't get me wrong, but it's definitely a 3 stars kind of place if you actually go there.
Rooms: The cabins are alright so long as you can get one without ants and with functional internet.
Nearby activities: There's two pools, an arcade, a mini golf course, and bike rentals.
Noteworthy details: They have a monopoly on golf carts here. You can't take in your own because you can only rent their golf carts on their grounds. They will let you take in your own bikes though.
The internet here is 4G LTE internet, each cabin has a modem/antenna on the outside, and a switch and access point on the inside. Why they didn't go for any kind of centralized internet infrastructure is beyond me, and the one in my room last time we stayed there was failing. It's decent enough for streaming, and I was able to stream from my Jellyfin server at home over a VPN without any problems so long as the internet was functioning.

My family has been coming for fall break about 10 years now. We enjoy our time and love the "community halloween spirit".

I’ve always had a great experience here besides today. A lady who worked in the activity room that is named Jennifer has the worst attitude I have ever seen. I get that it can be busy but raising your voice at a customer in front of their children is not okay whatsoever. I was at the table to get golf clubs and balls for the kids. I stood there for a while and nobody helped me. I figured maybe it was self serve and you just sign in and out on the sheet. When I was grabbing the golf club she pushed it down on me and yelled at me to stop. I told her what happened and she screamed at me saying “do you not see I’m busy and pointed at the line.” I have never been disrespected like that it shocked me. I told her what happened and she still continued to yell at me when it couldn’t been handled a more professional way. I ended up walking away because I was so upset and shocked.. She does not need to be working around children. My 6 year old son walked out of the room crying saying he can’t play golf because of the mean lady.

It's been 20+ years since what my family called home is now "The Executive lodge." Last weekend we celebrated our 2nd Reunion at Marval and while a lot of things have changed, the one thing that hasn't is how they strive to make every camper feel like they're home.

Let me tell you... this place is awesome! We had 3 families all meet up at the resort. We had originally planned a State Park meet up, but I'm glad we chose Marval instead. Marval is all around awesome.
My family stayed in a cabana, which does not have a bathroom. I was worried about that at first but it worked out fine. We were all so exhausted by the end of each day that it didn't matter. Other family members stayed in a larger cabin and it was nice too.
The kids loved the pool(s) and jumping pillow. It rained off and on while we were there and the rock painting in the activity center helped pass the time.
We went on Labor weekend and the park appeared at capacity but it didn't feel crowded.
All in all a great trip that will be a yearly thing for us.
I don't know who owns Marval but it really is a gem. Great for families with kids or even just a couple getaway. They hit the nail on the head with the layout, activities, etc.

Wow the prices are insane now. I booked 6 months in advance and cancelled 3 months in advance. I was charged $25.

Food and drinks: There is a restaurant on site! My favorite thing to order is the chicken, bacon, ranch sandwich with tater tots. The mountain dew is always nice and cold!

Our cabin was not cleaned. There were fake fingernails in the loft. The grill outside was broken and missing pieces. We called and asked about getting another one, and the manager told us to go next door and ask the neighbors if we could use theirs when they were done!

We have made this an annual family trip to kick off the spooky October season. We absolutely love this family friendly place. They have so many things to keep the kids busy and entertained.
I was sad after the haunted trail shut down but, they brought in an awesome monster mash dance party that my younger kids were able to do, unlike the haunted trail. There is basketball, bounce pad, mini gold, arcade, swimming, a restaurant and so many friendly people! Definitely planning another trip next year.
The only think I wish would change back is the price of the pumpkin patch. It was $2.00 when we first started but it is now $10.00. My kiddos were sad when I told them we couldn't do it because there are 5 of them but they soon got over it.

Very neat place to stay. Lots of fun things to do.
Rooms: Our cabin was nice and clean.
Safety: Seemed safe to me.
Walkability: Activity center was wonderful!
Here are my complaints….
The 3 wheelers were priced so high I didn’t even see one person riding them so they just all sat there the whole 3 days we were there. (I guess they were not for people wanting to get from point a to point b. The price was $10 per 30 min. So if you rent one you gotta ride like the wind for half an hour. No parking it at your cabin to ride back and forth. We just wanted to not walk somewhere sometimes. Being at the far end of the resort and the 100 degree heat made walking not as fun.
They didn’t enough golf carts to rent either. This place would be extra amazing if they’d just loosen up on the 3 wheeler rentals and get more golf carts to rent. I might go back in the fall but never again in this Oklahoma summer heat.
